Help! Top for yellow skirt

One of my good friends is getting married in about a month. Have been looking for a dress to wear to the wedding, but with no luck.

However, I have fallen in love with this skirt! But don't know what to wear on top. Any ideas? I'm not afraid of bright colours (obviously!) but look awful in white. The skirt looks a bit brighter with a slight lime tinge in real life.

I think it depends what colours look good next to your face and whether you want bright running through your outfit, or if you want to tone the brightness down. You could either pair with something in a similar colour family eg greens or more yellows (without having to be the same shade). You could pair with a different neutral eg silver, gold, beige/cream, soft gray, khaki. Or you could pick a contrasting bright eg turquoise/soft blues, peach, pink, purple or coral.

I wear navy with yellow a lot and I like the combination, but navy is my best colour. What would you say your best colours are? Would one of those work?

Ooh, I'd say you would need white or cream. I don't think a colour or anything darker would work. Grey would look too casual.

I just searched "yellow pleated skirt outfit" and it came up with a few ideas.

Grey would look good, but thats a bit casual, so maybe silver?
