Which Jo Malone?

I may try some Jo Malone perfumes in duty free but not sure where to start. Which ones do people love? I'm obviously planning to sniff them all out...

oooh, which airport has Jo Malone?

I love tuberose angelica (I think it's called)

FatGirlWithChocolate · 22/04/2017 14:30

Red Roses for me. Yummy.

Nanasueathome · 22/04/2017 14:33

Orange blossom is my favourite
There's a new one as well, Star Magnolia, and that's nice, quite citrusy
Is it actually Jo Malone or is it Jo Loves, which is Jo Malone's own brand and range?
The company Jo Malone is actually owned by Estée Lauder group now

Nanasueathome · 22/04/2017 14:34

Also need to know which airport actually has Jo Malone
My sone flew with Emirates recently and said they had Jo Loves for sale in the actual plane

MsHippo · 22/04/2017 14:38

Most duty frees do these days, in the UK anyway. I wear dark amber and gingerlily which I love. It seems to manage to be simultaneously light and fresh and dark and spicy and a bit sophisticated, it has lovely lasting power and it isn't over strong. Plus you only need a squirt or two so a bottle lasts me more than a year of fairly regular use.

babyturtles · 22/04/2017 14:41

I don't rate any of the JM perfumes. I had good expectations but they're crap imo, don't even last the whole day...

But out of all of them, I liked the sweet lime and cedar perfume most.

Macarena1990 · 22/04/2017 14:42

Oud and bergamot and the cardimom (can't remember the other ingredient!) are my favourites

BounceBounceSplishSplash · 22/04/2017 14:50

I like English Pear & Frescha and also Pomegranate Noir. The staying power on both is shite though.

theclick · 22/04/2017 16:34

BA on board duty free sell a sample selection

www.highlifeshop.com/products/jo-malone-cologne-collection

So if I visit a store to try out I can then see if the ones they sell are worth buying!

There's also apparently a store in t3 and t4 Heathrow though

Peony and blush suede

sonyaya · 22/04/2017 16:37

Most of them! Peony and blush suede is my ultimate favourite

NomDePlumeReloaded · 22/04/2017 16:41

Heathrow has a Jo Malone store.

I like Peony & Suede, Pomegranate Noir, Blackberry & Bay and the sea salt one.

StopShoutingAtYourBrother · 22/04/2017 16:43

I also second Tuberous Angelica.

I know it's one of their most popular but I can't stand pomegranate noir

Madbengalmum · 22/04/2017 16:43

Manchester has a jm.

Dlpdep · 22/04/2017 16:45

I got sage and sea salt recently. Lasts about 10 mins on me though it smells quite nice! English pear and freesia lasts longer. Lime basil and mandarin lasts for days but smells foul.

mysteryfairy · 22/04/2017 16:46

They are about £10 cheaper than high st in the airport for the 30ml size so don't wait until you are on the plane.

My favourite for spring is earl grey and cucumber. Also like wood sage and sea salt and mimosa and cardomam for spring.

I know they are not sophisticated or long lasting and owned by Estée Lauder but I try other fancier things and just come back to how wearable these are.

libertydoddle · 22/04/2017 16:47

Love 'Sea Salt and Sage' and 'Lime, Basil and Mandarin'.

Pomegranate Noir gives me a headache!

Timeforabiscuit · 22/04/2017 16:48

Oi! I like the lime, basil and mandarin! (but yes it does last days!) Grin

yikesanotherbooboo · 22/04/2017 16:51

I have English pear and freesia creme and top up with the spray scent ... this helps lasting power a lot... i layer it with the oud + bergamot

BuzzKillington · 22/04/2017 16:53

I love the candles, esp Lime Basil and Mandarin.

I find the perfumes too strong, but I am a complete sucker for the collections you can buy on flights. I have recently bought the one theclick linked to and it languishes in a drawer apart from when I use them as room sprays!

yellowfrontdoor · 22/04/2017 17:09

I like to mix Orange Blossom and Dark Amber & Ginger Lily. Smells divine!

chloechloe · 22/04/2017 18:22

It's best to have a chat with the shop assistants as they'll ask what types of scent you like and point you in the right direction. Otherwise the choice can be a bit overwhelming!

SomewhereNow · 22/04/2017 18:38

Wood Sage and Sea Salt is my favourite and I also love the smell of Blackberry and Bay but am not sure I'd actually wear it.

namechange20050 · 22/04/2017 18:45

Gatwick and Heathrow have branches.

fiorentina · 22/04/2017 19:26

Gatwick has a shop, worth trying lots,
Some last better than others and I think it depends a lot on you.
