Ok, I love Cos, I have a lot of good basics from there, bought both online and in store and I'm usually always happy (apart from one jumper with a too tight neck;)

I really want this dress for summer
www.cosstores.com/gb/Women/Dresses/Wrap-over_cotton_dress/46881-67532517.1#c-24479#Rel?PC=

But!
I am 5'5, very slim, not much boobage. I do have same hair as model and the blue colour really suits my skin tone.
I am afraid the belt area will look ginormous on me as I am not 6' tall. What do you think?

I love the blue version here but the green version on the other model looks like it swamps her uncomfortably, like hospital scrubs.

It isn't in my local store so would have to try online.

I just don't want the belt area (esp back view) to look so bunched and huge.
What you think ladies?

Pic if you don't wish to click link (but can't add a pic of back view so please see website instead!)

Oh I would also be planning to have it shortened on my to just above knee.

BWatchWatcher · 22/04/2017 12:33

It looks like a hospital gown.

PastysPrincess · 22/04/2017 12:33

Really sorry but to me they both look a nurses uniform.

sooperdooper · 22/04/2017 12:34

Not keen at all, shapeless and more like a dressing gown than a summer dress

TheUpsideDown · 22/04/2017 12:35

No Im sorry I don't like it at all, front or back. Very unflattering. Looks like a nurses uniform.

BoboChic · 22/04/2017 12:35

The khaki one is lovely but needs a lot of good jewellery in order to work.

Cos clothing is designed to be accessorised.

ZaraW · 22/04/2017 12:39

I really like it, though I am a big fan of COS.

AFierceBadRabbit · 22/04/2017 12:40

Haha love you lot!
It's true that when I've purchased stuff like this in the past I have come to same conclusions when i try on.

I used to love similar stuff from APC and always, almost every damn time looked like a sack.

I do love it, and it is definitely my style, but if it bunches with so much volume on the models I imagine the reality would disappoint me.

I have only ever had one skirt from COS and it buried me.
Now their tees, knits and shirts suit me well so maybe just stick to them.

I love Cos but not that dress, agree that it looks like scrubs.

Chavelita · 22/04/2017 12:48

I love Cos, but agree that both those look like nurses' uniforms -- it's a combination of the pastels and the cut.

lazycrazyhazy · 22/04/2017 12:48

I love it and prefer the greedy colour. Nice to see COS doing something shapely, I usually find they're into baggy things which I find terribly unflattering.

lazycrazyhazy · 22/04/2017 12:50

Greeny! Bloody auto correct. Also agree the pale one looks like uniform.

AFierceBadRabbit · 22/04/2017 12:50

I think if that blue version was more of a mini cut it would work better.

I saw a dress similar to this on a fashion blog recently and thought it looked awful, especially how the blogger had styled it. Hers was from Other Stories though. It does look rather medical though agree it would look better if it was shorter.

Also, it looks as if it would crease if you so much as breathed on it and it would get lap and bum creases if you sat in it for a nano second.

BusterGonad · 22/04/2017 13:43

It does look like hospital scrubs tbh but if you do like it then the biggest concern is that it looks like it creases like buggery! I generally believe people can pull things of if they are the right type of person.

Livinabarnn · 22/04/2017 15:23

I like the dress particularly in the green shade but do think it would look better on a person with some curves. I don't think wrap over dresses suit a flat chest.

This is similar and would be more flattering.

I'm the right type, which i can't explain, but possibly not tall/boobed enough, true.

BounceBounceSplishSplash No I don't like that styling either, but I love the colours! The Scandi thing is very me:)

Livinabarnn I like that, was looking at it, but I'm so drawn to v necks even if I shouldn't be.

I was looking at it I store last week (Kingston) and really liked it on the hanger but my toddler was loosing it so I didn't try it on.

It was very creasy though even in store.

wowsaidtheowl · 22/04/2017 20:10

I loved it on the hanger, tried it on and... hospital gown. Sorry.

wiltingfast · 22/04/2017 23:18

I love the green one! Looks more sophisticated to me than the blue.

Don't think boobage will matter, or curves. But height might. Maybe size down?

cuirderussie · 22/04/2017 23:52

Looks like a hospital cleaner, never mind nurse! I love Cos but sometimes they veer too far into utility wear.

elephantcuddles · 23/04/2017 00:09

Gap has something somewhat similar but not in those colors. One is white and blue stripes like seersucker.
