Best nude tights?

I hate wearing tights but have a formal occasion to attend and think black ones are going to look too heavy. Can anyone recommend nude ones that are comfy, flattering but don't make me feel like I've walked off the set of Dallas or am a member of the royal family ?

I think M&S do the best nude tights. They sell all kinds but I think the ones that are in individual packs tend to be best. I always get them in matte natural tan and they look good. They do seamless, sheer toe, support, open toe....

They're not going to be especially flattering - the aim is for them to be invisible and unnoticeable. People's eyes will go straight past them without thinking anything other than "legs, as expected".

M&S have loads. "Illusion" is paler than "Natural tan" (which is more Dallasy unless you actually do have a tan).

Trills interesting.... I'm actually quite pale but tend to find Illusion look too pale on me. Sun Tan look Dallas on me but Natural Tan are fine. I wonder if it depends on skin tone as well as how pale/tanned you are?

Natural tan can be a very different colour in different shops - M&S are more natural than some! :o

The Jasper Conran range in Debenhams is very good - for both tights and hold-ups.

Thanks, I think I've actually changed my mind about what to wear now but this will come in handy if I change it back again which is likely .

Wolford Perfectly 30 are the best, imo. They are not shimmery.

What does Kate Middleton use ?
They look very natural.

Tesco high waisted, they are comfortable but give you an amazing hourglass shape : they are a little shiny though.

KM apparently uses John. Lewis non slip ones.
