I need shoes/boots for new job suggestions please

Starting a new job soon after being on maternity leave , it means I will be travelling and walking approx 10 mins to station and 5 mins to work and back so want some comfortable but stylish shoes. The dress code is smart casual. Advice please wonderful Mumsnetters!

I wear trainers to and from work. Some people hate that but it's most comfy. Then I have some pointy flats, loafers from Office and some shoe boots, as well as more high heels. I have a reputation for my office shoe box!

Loafers are nice for work. I agree with the previous poster that trainers are best for the station walk and standing on the train, though; there's nothing like changing out of your office shoes and sprinting for the homeward train!
