Rare child free shopping day - inspiration needed please!

Rare day out today, city centre shopping. There's nothing specific I want to buy but I'm sure there must be key wardrobe items I need in my life! I'm out of the style loop with two small kids. Mrs practicality in jeans usually. Sometimes wear denim dress and leggings. Does anyone have any recommendations for wardrobe updates? Footwear/coats/casual clothes anything really.... thanks!

A nice trench coat for the spring? Always get compliments when I wear mine and smartens up outfits.

I leave in 20 mins if anyone else wants to tell me there favourite recent purchases! Getting the train in so have time to read any replies.

A smartish blue blazer/fitted jacket (not brass button type) to dress up jeans, I get so much wear out of mine for work and casual

Oh the other thing I use a lot going into summer is a neutral colour pair of wedges to go with jeans etc and easy to run around on with the dc

A dungaree dress.

Maybe some spring trainers in a light colour e.g. Superga/Adidas Gazelles? On my last shopping trip I bought some New Balance in bronze, boyfriend jeans in GAP, and a handbag in Fossil.

Thanks for the tips. I ended up coming home with one vest top! Shopping fail! But saw a blazer, denim dress and short trench coat, none of which were in my size so I'll be online later . Came home with more for the kids than me but had a lovely day anyway!

I realise I already have denim dresses! Can't have too many!!!
