Hi, I'm losing the plot trying to find something for my dd to wear when we get a family portrait taken for my DMs 70th birthday. I hate all the crop tops and cold shoulder stuff, so looking for something classic but trendy enough for a nearly 11 year old to wear.
Can anyone recommend any websites please? or even better, outfits!

A dress or trousers and a top. She's not really into skirts

I buy my daughter who is 13 stuff from the Miss Selfridge petite range. It has lots of nice pieces imo.

Thanks Euphemia , some success with your links - she liked the Quiz #2 in blue. Also liked the first one, but it starts at an 8 so I think will be far too big - 6 may be too, but worth a try

I have the same issue as dd is 11. We find online shopping much better. While the stores are the same the choice is much bigger.
I.e. New look yesterday was all cropped tops and t shirts with rips but we've got some decent stuff onkine.
Zara has some gorgeous dresses online as do next who go up to an age 16 online but often don't have anything past an age 9/10 in store.

Gap have some groegeous stuff as well and always a discount code to be found.

Places like hollister and super dry sell nice dresses and skirts and the average 11yr old would be an xs.

Thanks Helgahufflepuff, I've tried them already. Miss Selfridge petite is worth a look, thanks lottieandmia. 228agreenend, thanks tried there - no luck. I've ordered a adress from Quiz, I think it may be just a wee bit dressy but hopefully we can dress it down with some converse :-)

What sort of clothes does she like? Classic? Boho? Goth?

Other places to consider:
Joe Brown
Sea salt
White stuff
Fat face
Saltrock
Apricot

28agreenend, thanks for those, although don't think there are many kids sizes in amongst that, or even sizes 4s/6s. Daughter is only just about to turn 11, so hasn't really formed her sense of style as such, dresses more for comfort but wants to look the part in amongst her cousins for this photo and look trendier than her norm.

I'm not sure their stuff is what you're looking for this time round but Fat Face does do kids clothes.

carrie74 · 18/04/2017 02:09

Have you looked at Boden? The Johnnie B range is much more palatable than New Look/Primark stuff?

My daughter lives in Gap clothes, always bought with a great discount!
