Be honest, does my hair look better before?

Hiya, definitely not fishing for compliments! I'm wanting the absolute truth. I can't get it off friends/family.

My hair has been coloured and cut (obviously!) I've had 1 probably closest to the truth from my sister who claimed that I look like I'm trying to go back in time (WRT my age!) as I now have a daughter does it look like that's what I'm trying to do!?

I've obviously changed my username.

Friends/family, if you see this, I love you but need the truth!

I like you with short hair, but think you suit the auburn rather than the darker shade.

You people do not know the OP's sister! How weird to state she must be jealous.

We need to see a photo of the OP in a normal position in order to be able to judge.

Red scarf and lighter hair looks prettier and more natural. Short and dark looks a bit try hard, desperate to be different. I expect you'd get more attention with the short and dark.

You are so young and pretty that you really can get away with any cut IMO.

You also have such a lovely-shaped face - sort of elfin - which again looks just as good with short cuts as long.

Sadly, I never had that kind of face, even when younger! I could still do with some more length for flattering my face, but my menopausal hair is so crap.

In short, you are young and beautiful - enjoy having fun with your hair while you can.

Be careful about listening to family - they mean well, but can get used to you being in a certain box, so they aren't always the best to advise on changing your look.

I don't think that either looks better, I think that both are OK.

I prefer the hair colour in the first pic as I don't much like obviously dyed hair.

You're gorgeous. You would suit a pixie cut in a flattering natural colour if you fancied something different - you've got the delicate features for it.

You can't tell with the 'selfie' style photos. Normal straight on plus side on head shots would be better.

Umm they are 2 different people in the pics aren't they ? Jawline, chin cleft, mole, eyebrows and nose ? Or there is some serious editing going on here ?

Short hair is often seen on older not younger women imo.
I like before. Black hair is too dark on you.

The short haircut is better but the light brown is a better colour than the dark.

The dark colour makes you look pale and unwell.

I can't really see your hair in the second picture. You look gorgeous in both pics though.

I think I prefer the after. Your face really suits short hair, but I think you'd suit any style to be honest. Can you give us a clearer after pic though so we can see your hair properly?

Think the darker one looks a bit rough myself - a bit try hard as someone else said . But you do look younger with that hair and you are very pretty.

I prefer the longer hair style but think it could look quite nice with the darker colour if long. Though I still prefer the colour in the first pic I think.

What's funny is the 2nd pic really isn't highly edited. It's literally the blue filter on an iPhone and was taken just laying on some grass... The lighting was very different.
