M&S bras - is it just their measuring that's odd?

I’m part way through a diet. I definitely need a new bra but don’t want to spend a fortune because I am not yet at my goal weight.

I know what size I would need, measuring properly. Can I buy that size in M&S? I know their measurements are bizarre and that's not the size they would measure me as, but are their bras also made differently or would the proper size from M&S actually fit?

IME the proper size will fit it's just the measuring that's bonkers!

Thanks, that sounds hopeful. Will try on but at least I know what size should fit. Now just need to hope they make something in my size!

Imho their bras are OK, it's their idea of a fitting service that's terrible.

I've had some nice ones, but I'd try on first as some give you a weird shape

Well so much for that. Huge department, only one bra in my size and it was horrible. I guess I'll have to spend some money after all.
