Plain black work trousers

I want some plain black trousers, that will be office smart. Slim leg, preferably.

Won't attract lots of fluff Hmm or gather at the waist in an odd way Hmm

Are they out there?

I have also been searching for this elusive item since last year.

Have tried on in DPs, New Look, Wallis, Oasis and George. Found nothing yet.

WanderingNotLost · 10/04/2017 02:28

I've got 3 pairs from Zara. Love them.

walruswhiskers · 10/04/2017 02:30

Gap.

hollieberrie · 10/04/2017 06:36

Gap skinny bi-stretch

Banana Republic is great for trousers. One of the only places that do a petite leg.
They are only online now and quite pricey but if you wait for the sale they are reasonable. They wash well and keep their shape too.

Hobbs Amanda trousers - not the cheapest but they wash really well and look smart.

dinosaursandtea · 10/04/2017 08:12

Seconding Hobbs! They make my arse look AMAZING, but are also super profesh.

VintagePerfumista · 10/04/2017 08:26

The Amandas look fab, are they true to size and do the knees do funny things due to lycra overdose? (sorry for hijack OP!)
I have Gap bi-stretch and Boden Richmonds- both good enough but I want fabulous! The Gap do a weird gather-round-the-knee thing and after a day sitting at a desk the ankle rides up to join the party.

turtlewoman · 10/04/2017 08:31

I also have the Amanda trousers, agree they are very comfy and flattering!

Glossolalia · 10/04/2017 08:51

Thank you VERY much!

I'll have a look at these and keep my fingers crossed that either of these are the holy grail and will improve the appearance of my arse

I've got some from Sainsbury's. They're really comfy and still look new after 6 months

Glossolalia · 23/04/2017 12:22

Thanks to everyone who recommended the gap bi stretch. I managed to get some in this weekends 40% off promotion and they are perfect! Smile

Are the hobbs ones you're all recommending the jeans?
