Reputable model agencies

Asking for a friend!

Apparently people keep asking if he is a model. English is not his first language and I don't want him to be taken for a ride by some shysters.

Personally I have my reasons for thinking it is not a realistic idea but if he did want to look into it what is the best way?

We are in London btw.

My company has booked promo models (not high fashion) through a London company called Touchdown. We did it several times and found them to be very professional. What's more, their own models liked working for them.
Hopefully someone else can help with fashion.

A good rule of thumb is that reputable model agencies don't ask for any money up front, eg. for photos.

He could try strutting around Oxford St - do they still send model touts out looking for them?

But beware, when I was young I was quite striking looking, and people did used to ask if I was a model. I wasn't, and in reality was nothing like a model - not tall enough for a start, and def not photogenic enough.

Yeah randoms on the street talk bollocks.

My concerns are he is too tall except for retailers who specialise and also, while to be fair I've only seen snapshots of him, I've never seen one do him justice. But I realise that there are different types of modelling and i know bugger all about any of them.

Also I'm not sure how he would cope with any modelling that involved getting some of his kit off.

DS has worked as an actor and model and done very well out of it (he is gorgeous!)

He uses this agency www.tomorrowisanotherday.de/boys/

One of my friends worked for Models One. He was very well looked after and got lots of work. Also try Select.

Select, Premier, Models 1, Next. They are the top agencies though, not sure about middle of the range ones, but agree, anyone reputable won't ask for any money upfront for a portfolio.

Thanks all.
