Where can I find more skirts like this one?

Skirt

Specifically this shape and length. My favourite sumer outfit is a relaxed slightly a-line midi skirt like this with a vest top/fitted t-shirt and saltwaters but I'm really struggling to find skirts.

~ Midi length
~ Relaxed fit (not the big sticky out-y dressy midi skirts that seem to be everywhere)
~ Plain or patterned (love a good quirky pattern or polka dots)
~ Not pleated
~ Vintage-y looking style
~ Pockets would be an absolute bonus
~ Not bothered about the material

Any help would be great ☺️.

Find a pattern and make your own?

BikeRunSki · 07/04/2017 13:48

Seasalt

www.everything5pounds.com/en/Lace-Overlay-Midi-Skirt/p/609253
think this sort of matches your description.they have loads of other midi skirts there and some are quite quirky.
don't know if you have used this website before, but if you buy things from here try to get something with reviews.as some items may be smaller than the actual sizing.
but i love the website.

Will check Seasalt.

That's not what I'm after snotato - wrong shape and don't want lace. Thanks though.

Have never even so much as sewn a button onto something Wilma so don't fancy my chances at skirt-making 😂.

Sorry wrong link.

This any good?

It's super comfy (I'm wearing one now!) and has pockets!

littleflowershop · 07/04/2017 13:56

I'm 5'7, the small comes about an inch or so past my knees!

whifflesqueak · 07/04/2017 13:58

this?

PragmaticWench · 07/04/2017 14:00

I'm interested too, it's a flattering length and shape...

RicketyCricket · 07/04/2017 15:14

Have had a look at Seasalt but I don't like the prints and the style is a wee bit mature for me.

The Uniqlo one is nice but a bit dressier than I'm after. None of the colours work for me either.

Love the Urban Outfitters one in the floral option but it's a bit ££.

Boohoo has loads of skirts like this one. Quality not amazing but it's cheap and will last with careful washing!

BarchesterFlowers · 07/04/2017 15:49

I walked through M&S last week and this caught my eye.

BarchesterFlowers · 07/04/2017 15:51

Sorry, half posted - I thought it was quite striking but it was very polyester y.

WingMirrorSpider · 07/04/2017 15:55

This is vintagey and midi

Thanks all.

Have bought Snoopys denim one from La Redoute. Will go with a variety of tops and with 40% off I couldn't resist!

Can anyone vouch for their sizing btw? Seem to remember them being small compared to our vanity sizing? Have ordered a size larger than usual so am hoping that's the case!

I make my own of this type of thing - it really isn't hard to get the hang of and you can choose from all the amazing prints at online fabric shops.

I'd go on a dressmaking course, there are loads around now, or if you really don't want to you could have skirts made by your nearest tailor/alterations person.

The Merchant and Mills Saltmarsh skirt pattern is a good choice for this type of skirt - you can make it any length you like, adjust the fullness easily, and it has pockets. The pattern comes in this book here

BarchesterFlowers · 07/04/2017 16:12

I make that too Queen, it is one of my favourite skirts.

I have just bought a vintage pattern here.

Tamsworth17 · 07/04/2017 16:18

Esprit sometimes does them.

SilentBob · 07/04/2017 16:25

This one says it's pleated but I don't see pleats? www.silkfred.com/boutiques/urban-touch/clothing/bird-print-pleated-midi-skirt

Something like this OP? Matches your description but I couldn't get your link up :)
