Style my DH!

DH is pretty clueless when it comes to clues but I've told him that we are going shopping for a whole new wardrobe on Saturday because I'm sick of seeing him in the same t shirt ( he has had it since university)!

Problem is, I don't really know what he needs to buy! I want him to look smart casual but comfortable. We have small DC, so it needs to be soft play/bum change compatible and minimal ironing required!

He is happy to defer all decisions to me because he is clueless, bless him. He does fancy a smarter, more 'put together' look though.

We are off to a large shopping centre on Saturday so have access to all the usual places.

He is 37, quite conservative, 6 ft 4 and a 36 inch waist. He has quite muscular build and hates slogan t shirts. Normally wears jeans, converse and a rugby shirt.

Can anyone help? Pictures would be brilliant!

DH is the same - he has no interest but could see he was stuck. IMO It's less the brand and more how the outfit is assembled.

So the new rules are:

• casual shorts with low socklets, not sports or black socks. He won't entertain bare feet!
• smart jacket, eg blazer or casual suit jacket for evenings/lunch out
• clean jeans, not scruffy unless vegging at home
• rugby and polo shirts fine, if ironed
• v-neck jumpers good, e.g. Lacrosse style
• Sleeveless gilet better than fleeces if going somewhere.

That said, my DH was a bad case so he needed rules. . Appearances just happen to be last on his list of priorities!

Haha, I came on to say fatface but was beaten to it. I love the men's stuff in there.

Any idea of outfit suggestions? Or I pictures? I can even imagine what smart men wear... I need to pay more attention to other men!

If he doesn't choose it himself, he won't be 100% comfortable and it will show.

Sign him up for the website 'thread'. You rate things and it narrows down it's suggestions based on what you like. Suggests individual items and whole outfits.

You might still have to drag him to the shops to actually buy the stuff, but he'll have chosen it. Sort of.
