I'm noticing the side I sleep on is way worse.. I'm just under 3 weeks ATM

Spurtle · 02/04/2017 08:47

Every three weeks, but the last three or four days don't look great.

CherylVole · 02/04/2017 10:11

And there's enough there to qualify as a redo ?

OP posts:
Spurtle · 03/04/2017 11:02

Yes, definitely. Sometimes it looks sparser than others, but I only ever get charged for maintenance rather than a full set.

JohnCheese · 03/04/2017 11:30

I'm new to lashes - have only done them a few times, but like Spurtle, I need maintenance every 3 weeks. And yes, I find the side I sleep on is worse. I need them next week and already they're not looking great. I'm beginning to wonder if they're worth the time and expense.

I love them, but the upkeep! The upkeep!

CherylVole · 03/04/2017 11:36

do you find you are obsessing?~

OP posts:
NoArmaniNoPunani · 03/04/2017 11:37

I get mine done every 2 weeks

JohnCheese · 03/04/2017 11:42

Obsessing?? Do you mean looking at them all the time? No, not really. Usually when I do my maquillage in the morning. After that, there ain't time really. I LOVE them when they're fresh, but I fall out of love as rapidly as they fall off my eyes. Wink

I am getting pure sick of the upkeep.Did I already day that? Grin

CherylVole · 03/04/2017 14:27

oh god I am. Yes agree - one is more full than the other i am SURE

OP posts:
JohnCheese · 03/04/2017 15:36

Yes I get you. But I do find my eyelashes on my left eye are quite a bit sparser than my right. So that might be the reason that the eyelashes are not equal.

onemumtwocountries · 03/04/2017 15:47

Sorry to hijack the thread, but have you thought of doing a lash lift instead? I used to get extensions with top-ups every 3 weeks. Now I have DS I simply don't find the time and also I find them a little bit over the top for me.

Had a lash lift 2 weeks ago and they still look great. Curled, dark, lovely and natural. I don't know how long they will last but I think she said they can only be redone every 10 weeks. I'm very happy with mine so far,

JohnCheese · 03/04/2017 16:35

The lash lift is good if you've decent lashes to start with - thick and long. It wasn't great for my fine fair lashes.

PurpleNurple69 · 03/04/2017 16:44

I was going to get lash extensions later this month as a birthday treat but maintenance every 3 weeks?! Hells bells! Is there nothing more permanent I could get? My bloody lashes - pale, short and straight. The curse of ash blonde hair Sad

On a plus note, my lady garden is very manageable!

CherylVole · 03/04/2017 18:01

what IS a lash lift?

OP posts:
CherylVole · 03/04/2017 18:01

oh god purple they are amazing - half an hour every 3 weeks and I sometimes have a little snooze

OP posts:
PurpleNurple69 · 03/04/2017 18:19

What about oil based make up remover? Is that safe to use on them? I use waterproof eyeliner.

onemumtwocountries · 03/04/2017 19:15

This is what I had done: nouveaulashes.com/lvl-enhance-the-natural-lash-lift

Sorry I don't know how to do a proper link.

Agree that it's probably only good if you have dark, long lashes to start with.

oldfatandtired1 · 03/04/2017 19:18

Also popping in to say LVL's only any good if you have decent lashes to start with Sad

EverythingEverywhere1234 · 03/04/2017 19:21

I tend to get mine infilled every 3-4 weeks. They do worse if I've had a few tipsy nights out as I tend to be less careful with them while taking my make up off. I never really let them get too sparse.

Spurtle · 03/04/2017 19:37

What does everyone mean by maintenance? I don't do anything to mine. If I have eyeliner on I remove it with miscellar water (is that even close to how you spell it? - looks wrong). For day time make up I find they're enough on their own. My make up routine is super easy - BB all in one primer/foundation think, bronzer, done. Takes two minutes if that. I love, love, love my lashes.

CherylVole · 03/04/2017 20:22

no oil
I use micallar VERY gently

OP posts:
CherylVole · 03/04/2017 20:23

i add eyeliner as SANS they are way more obvious and I feel too vampy

MrTumblesbitch · 03/04/2017 20:42

What kind of lash extensions are you all getting?

I have seen the russian lashes which look dramatic, but I quite like that. I normally do them myself (short individuals, close together for volume but then not masively OTT cos they are short)

Contemplating if it is worth getting them done! I love my false lashes!

PurpleNurple69 · 03/04/2017 21:16

I looked at the Russian ones but they're a bit OTT for me!

CherylVole · 03/04/2017 21:49

dunno
Mink individuals
9 and 11 curly or something

itsbetterthanabox · 03/04/2017 21:53

Spurtle maintenance is infills.
No oils, no rubbing, no mascara.
