Wearable jersey trousers that verge on pjs

But not the hush ones. Can anybody recommend some good cheap jersey / t-shirt fabric loose trousers with a stretchy waist? Maybe patterned but especially black, and with a tapered / narrow ankle.
Last year surprisingly I had some great (admittedly paisley) ones from Asda George, but this year I can't find similar. I'd like to keep the price low so I can buy a stack of them for taking travelling.
Thanks in advance Smile

What dont you like about Hush ? I do admit that I am a big Hush fan ,but I have have three pairs of their harems and they are great . Am on the 3rd year of wearing for one pair, they wash brilliantly and never bag..

Admittedley they are expensive , but have been so long lasting I think definately worth it . I did try the Next ones but didnt really like the fabric feel or the cut .

LtheWife · 02/04/2017 21:11

The Uniqlo ones are somewhere between the two, nowhere near as thick as 80's sweats (and smooth on the inside rather than fluffy or looped) but not as thin as t-shirt jersey either. Drapey but enough structure to not cling to lumps and bumps. And although synthetic not sweaty, think technical fabrics/gym wear. The cuffs aren't tight to the ankles and don't have that gathered effect so quite flattering.

I wore them comfortably in Florida in late September during evenings or days spent mostly in air conditioned buildings but they would have been too warm for a day in the theme parks for example. Oh, and they're more comfortable than my pj bottoms!

They're doing free delivery on orders over £30 and it's free returns so worth ordering a couple of pairs to try. They have them under a couple of different listings for some reason, one shows some sizes as out of stock whereas the other has all sizes available.

MaisyPops · 02/04/2017 21:15

I have 3 pairs. One from H&M, one from booHoo and one from next.

My next ones are my faveorites. H&M ones are slightly more jammy style.

ShelaghTurner · 02/04/2017 21:25

I live in the next ones all summer. Have just worn them today for the first time after a winter in jeans and they are so comfortable! It really was like putting my pjs back on!

Acunningruse · 02/04/2017 21:32

Please could someone kindly link to the Next ones? Their website gives me the rage. Apologies for hijack but am looking for exactly these, I'm so over jeans and jeggings!

applesareredandgreen · 02/04/2017 22:15

Sorry can't link but another vote for the next ones. They are about £18 I think. They are viscose jersey with a bit of Lycra (but not tight)

yomellamoHelly · 02/04/2017 22:20

Kettlewell?

Nellooo · 02/04/2017 22:33

These Next ones are fab.

Nellooo · 02/04/2017 22:34

Are they the ones apple?

Malermalergoni · 02/04/2017 22:36

The hush ones are ok, but I do a creative job that is messy and has the potential to ruin clothes, so generally if buying something I like I buy a big stack. The price for that is too prohibitive for me

Try Primark then because if it does get ruined it won't hurt your purse.

DianaT1969 · 03/04/2017 05:57

How does Next survive with such a s**t website?

ElspethFlashman · 03/04/2017 09:42

I think Primark don't do plain black ones though. Just patterned pyjama ones.

I could be wrong but I've never come across any and am in there every week

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 03/04/2017 10:02

I have two pairs of the Next ones Nellooo linked to.

Sainsbury's have these Mono drapey ones

I also like these patterned ones but not sure they're quite what you're after

The Next ones are really good and last well. I've got some from last year still going strong. I had some similar ones from H&M but they've shrunk and now look ridiculous!

Malermalergoni · 03/04/2017 10:58

LtheWife that's brilliant info, thanks so much, I'm going to order a pair of Uniqlo ones to try. Also going to swing by next store tonight, because i hate their website too. If I wanted to read a paper catalogue I'd do that Hmm... Why such a frustrating site? Anyway!
Will report back! Thanks everyone -some great suggestions on this thread. Also ordered some from amazon for a tenner, they're highly rated in the reviews bit, black jersey harem style, so let's see

Definitely Next, i have 4 pairs

calilark · 03/04/2017 14:21

Are these wearable for work, by fatties? I am a size 24 and favour a wide leg trouser but would like to try - can't decide if too much freedom for belly wobble though and would look too pj-esque. Also - what shoes for a work situation with them?

ShelaghTurner · 03/04/2017 15:03

I wear them and I'm a fatty. Not for work though although I soon will if I get through an interview.

MaisyPops · 03/04/2017 18:16

I dont think they are wearable to work for anyone most of the time.
Im a 6-8 and theyre still pretty casual looking. Sometimes in the summer if i have a quiet day once my exam groups have gone (teacher) I'll wear them with a lose blazer but theyrr definitely more a dressy casual look. If you have dress down fridays then theyd be ok.

Malermalergoni · 04/04/2017 18:13

So to update, the ten quid Black Jersey harems from amazon arrived today. They're very thin, thinner than a t-shirt. They do cling a bit, in that cheap pyjama way. Eg, knicker line on show. I feel like all my wobbling bits ripple in them. But they are very very soft. But quite short fitting. I'm not sure I would venture out of the house in them actually. However, my teen dd looks amazing in themEnvy
