Eyeshadow on my eyelashes

Does anyone else get eyeshadow on their eyelashes? I don't usually wear mascara because I have black fairly thick fairly long eyelashes but then I often get light coloured eyeshadow on my eyelashes. How can I stop this? Is the only way to fix it to put black mascara on over the top so they don't look lighter from the eyeshadow? Sorry I know this is probably a stupid question .

I think it's just fall out from the eyeshadow. Your eyelashes are doing their job by stopping it from getting in your eye.

Can you just wipe over them with a q-tip when you're finished?

Could you just sweep in a bit if clear mascara? Or wash a old mascara wind and wipe on a bit of Vaseline to clear you lashes and add shine?

Yes it is fall out from the eyeshadow but it's annoying and I don't know how to get rid of it properly without then messing up my eye makeup.

Go to a Benefit counter and borrow one of their disposable mascara wands.
