Long auburn hair, turquoise L'Oréal colorista 1-2 week dye. Just planning on doing from mid lengths to ends. Never dyed (or had dyed) hair before. Anyone used this product, any general tips?

Many thanks.

Allergy test - vital
Strand test- also vital

Cover anything that can be stained
Have everything to hand
Time with a clock/watch (don't guess Grin )

Prepare to be dazzled

Ha ha thanks both, I should add that I'm planning on doing it on Sunday, allergy test done, patch test a great idea and I can do that tomorrow 😄

Make sure to give an update! I was looking at the Colourista range in Boots today. I have dark brown hair so some of the lighter ones wouldn't work but I'd love to try something a bit different.

DavetheCat2001 · 31/03/2017 23:12

will turquoise actually work on auburn hair?

I would have thought it will come out as a sort of browny colour, those bright coloured semi permanent dyes work best on bleached/light hair don't they?

Having said that, I've never used it so I may be completely wrong!

RicketyCricket · 31/03/2017 23:14

I think without bleach, turquoise is highly unlikely to show up on auburn hair?

Might end up with a muddy green.

Anonymous1112 · 01/04/2017 07:55

It's come out a rather fab emerald green rather than turquoise but it's really vivid and so I'm going to go for it tomorrow Smile

Looking at it in the light this morning it's more of a teal colour. I really like it 😄
