Crest Whitening Strips - the professional effects ones. They're excellent. Try and get 10 pouches (20 strips) so you've got a good 10 days worth.

I paid to have mine done professionally after I'd finished my orthodontic treatment. I was slightly pissed if to find that I could have bought the kit online at half the price! It's called polanight. Great results from it and no sensitivity.

You can't buy anything that works over the counter in the UK, because stuff that works can damage teeth. That's why only dentists do teeth whitening here.

You can buy the unregulated American stuff online, for that horse with a piano in its mouth look so favoured by Hollywood. At your risk of wrecked teeth and gums, and you won't grow more.

Crest strips are amazing !

Hadenoughtoday01 · 31/03/2017 11:02

You can buy these in Boots in the UK, www.boots.com/boots-expert-dissolvable-teeth-whitening-strips-56-strips-10192213

Those boots ones will do nothing if sold legally in the UK. Note the asterisks and 'up to' in the description. It is like the before and after photos for wrinkle creams - without Photoshop there is no difference !

Are crest strips safe? I've got some my friend bought me. I wanted to use them before my wedding.

Heatherjayne1972 · 02/04/2017 20:00

Just to say it's illegal for anyone (beauticians hairdressers etc) to do whitening in the U.K.
Please see a qualified dentist for this

poxpoxeverywhere · 03/04/2017 11:59

I really want to try the crest strips but can't find them online.

oliviaoatcake · 03/04/2017 13:02

All the 'over the counter' ones do is dry your teeth out so they look whiter. They return to their normal shades after a few days (sooner, depending on your enamel).

The only way to get a real change is via the dentist.

specialsubject · 03/04/2017 13:54

Ah, so that's how the claims work. Clever, eh?

Ollivander84 · 03/04/2017 13:58

I had zoom done at my dentist. Full check up and hygienist appointment before, then had the in chair whitening followed by at home trays. If you wanted it cheaper you could just do the trays
He explained to me that v v white teeth in the media are generally veneers
I'm so pleased with the results he got for me and I've had no side effects

GMOOH · 03/04/2017 18:05

pox I get mine from Ebay.

birkenstocks · 03/04/2017 19:01

I'm scared of eBay in case they're fake!
