Can I get opinions on these boots please?

I've just seen these boots, and I think I like them, but only had my children as second opinions at the time!
What are your thoughts?

Can I get opinions on these boots please?

Love them!

Loyly · 29/03/2017 15:49

I really dislike them, sorry.

I had to laugh at the total opposition of the replies!

I like them. Grin

PaperdollCartoon · 29/03/2017 15:55

I like them. I think that leg height could make any legs that aren't super slim look very cut off and chunky though.

highinthesky · 29/03/2017 15:56

They're not exactly dainty, are they? It looks like you could offer someone a good kicking in them.

(Can you guess they're not quite to my taste?).

1stTimeMama · 29/03/2017 16:02

high, I know what you mean. Not sure what I'm looking for really. I'm in total limbo, style wise, hence the search for opinions!

Paperdoll, I'm certainly not super slim. A 10, and trying to tone, but I do have fairly long legs for my height. My husband would happily tell me if I looked chunky, so maybe I'll take him back to the shop.

I like these if you have long slim legs. Otherwise not flattering at all IMO.

ILoveAGoodBrusselSprout · 29/03/2017 16:04

I like them but I think you have to be very slim to wear them so that the widest part of your calf isn't wider than the top of the boot, otherwise (even if you are slim) they may make you appear chunky.

1stTimeMama · 29/03/2017 16:06

I might go and try them on, take a picture, and report back for chunkiness ratings.

OP posts:
Cocolepew · 29/03/2017 16:35

I love them, I do like a chunky boot.

Ohyesiam · 29/03/2017 16:36

I really like them. And I don't think you would necessarily need to be super slim.
I am big built, with good legs, and I need chunky boots to balance me out. Of not I tend toward the dreaded pig- on-stilts look.

Flypaperforarseholes · 29/03/2017 16:43

I like them, they'll go great with tucked in jeans. I don't think you need to be super slim to wear them. I am chunky of leg and find boots like this quite flattering.

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 29/03/2017 16:46

I have some similar OP. They are very comfortable and sturdy though I am conscious of potentially looking like I could give someone a kicking in them :o

1stTimeMama · 29/03/2017 16:59

I was thinking a skinny jean, khaki jegging or denim mini skirt might look nice?

OP posts:
Sallygoroundthemoon · 29/03/2017 17:04

I wouldn't wear them with a skirt but with jeans I think they would be really nice.

RiverdaleJughead · 29/03/2017 17:08

I think they're very ... suburban (not really in a good way) and that they seem like they'd be worn with jeggings

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 29/03/2017 17:12

Well I don't live in the suburbs and I wear mine all the time. I even wore them on a glacier and they gripped. Just in case you ever needed them for glacier walking...

paddypants13 · 29/03/2017 17:36

I like them op!

DevelopingDetritus · 29/03/2017 17:43

They're a bit clodhopper.

lanbro · 29/03/2017 17:46

I've got some similar style Timberlands so I like them!

LoupGarou · 29/03/2017 17:49

I love them, but I've got some very similar which I wear with skinny jeans so I'm a bit biased. Where are they from can I ask?

taybert · 29/03/2017 18:35

I like them. I think sometimes it's handy to give the impression you could give someone a good kicking Grin The OP didnt say she was after dainty boots did she? FWIW I think you could potentially wear them with a skirt but I'd have to see them on.

ProseccoBitch · 29/03/2017 18:40

I like the style but hate the colour.

1stTimeMama · 29/03/2017 19:07

Loup, they're from Reiker. I have a pair of knee highs from them, and they're my favourites so I'm confident in comfort factor!
