What can I do with short bob?

My hair is short and bobbed currently and I'm sick of the bowl shape. What can I do? It's very straight and fine but I crave a bit more oomph and less sleek style. Is there anything but to grow it?

How can I edit to say "with pic"?

You have to report your post to MN and ask them to edit the title for you

How about highlights?

SavoyCabbage · 28/03/2017 21:16

It needs some texture. Can you ruffle it up when you are drying it?

Rubyslippers7780 · 28/03/2017 21:18

Bit of colour? Give it a bit of texture?

Fringe?

NeonGod73 · 28/03/2017 21:20

I was thinking fringe too!

I love my short bob. It's shorter at the back than yours - quite a lot by the look of the pic - and razored into the neck. It's also highlighted in several different blondes and the ends are point cut which all gives it texture. I can dry it smooth or choppy, and can also make it look different by varying the parting - either dead straight or a bit more informal.

Mines a bit like this when rough dried.

My hair looks same texture, I have v subtle highlights, and a very clever hairdresser who managed to make layers work on my v fine hair. I blow dry using a big round brush to add some swishyness, and sometimes use straighteners to make beach waves (need lots of product to hold).

I'm growing it at the moment, but my style of choice is a long pixie (length on top, e.g. Side sweeping long fringe) if you're thinking of a cut.

Thanks folks. I think colour would add interest and maybe side fringe. It's very well cut - new hairdresser did it and it falls into place with little effort. I'm just bored of the bowl effect and crave a wave! I'm booked to go Friday but maybe need a change to add colour to my appointment too. What colours? I'm light red today (natural). Was a lot more auburn but am fading

In the short term I'd tuck one side behind your ear. When you're drying it,tip your head upside down and brush it all over to one side, then the other-it'll shag it up a bit.

I think you should go for more of a long pixie than a short bob with a few golden nightlight underneath the top layer to add interest (you won't need to worry about roots).
