Recommendations for a high SPF that also works as a good moisturiser (and doesn't leave me shiny) please?

It's barely Spring and I'm already shielding myself from the sun.

In the past the blockers I've used have left me looking a bit silver or greasy.

I'd really like to buy one - even if it is on the pricier side that will leave my skin blocked from the sun yet still moisturised.

Anything by La Roche Posay will be good. They have super high SPFs, are very sensitive and also very lightweight.

I love Body Shop Skin Defence Multi Protection Essence, spf50. I have worked my way through a tube and already repurchased.

I've been using Bare Minerals prep step- spf 50 in a small bottle around £26.

www.bareminerals.co.uk/face-makeup/face-primer/

It doubles as a primer.
I find it quite moisturising even though it says apply over moisturiser.

ps it IS white but I use foundation over it and didn't want a tinted one as they make my foundation darker.

My current favourite is Sunsense Matte spf 50

shop.sunsense.co.uk/collections/all/products/sunsense-anti-ageing-face-matte

It dries quickly to a matte finish. No greasiness at all. My only issue with it is that it is slightly tinted. My skin rivals Casper the ghost's and it only leaves a slight tint (coverable with bb cream). If you've got a slight bit of colour I think it would be invisible.

Oops posted to quickly! Meant to add it's currently £27.99 for 100ml, so quite a big bottle really.

The Boots Once Moisturising spf50 for the face. It's all I wear from March on. It basically feels and looks exactly like a moisturiser.

Try Ultrasun factor 30 for the face. I also love the texture and moisturising qualities of La Roche Posay Pigment Clar spf.50 which is just like a normal moisturiser in consistency.

I like Clinique city block sheer spf 25. Not super high but I put it on generously and it's high enough for me as skin is medium tan. It works fine as a moisturiser even on my dry skin even if they don't advertise it as such. And is suitable for round the eyes which for me is a plus as most eye creams don't have spf and I feel nervous about putting some high factor creams around the eyes.
They do a spf 40 too although I haven't tried it.

Olay do a 30 spf which me and DP use everyday and it has been totally reliable over summer in the harsh NZ sun.
Cheap as chips too. I had thought about primers but pricey and you have to use along with a moisturiser anyway.

I use piz buin, the face one, it's great, comes in different spfs and has a nice Matt finish

JessiCake · 27/03/2017 20:33

I use the Clinique cityblock too, the spf 40 one. I wouldn't use it if I knew I was going to be outdoors a lot of the day - would use a 'proper' sunscreen iyswim - but for general outdoors stuff on spring/summer days it seems to work. Eg a 20 min walk to and from nursery, down to the shops a 10 min walk away, that kind of thing. Texture and shade is good on me, I've used it for years.
