I need to find this type of shoe today.

I've had cellulitis in my ankle and it's better but still sore. I want to go back to work on Monday but all the shoes I own except mules irritate my ankle after a little while. So these look like the style I need. I have wide feet and I'd need to try them on in a shop. Has anyone seen some on the high street please? I'm Googling but thought I'd ask. I'll wear opaques under them.

Also I'm not good with high heels.

I thought you might find something on the Evans website... but they don't have that style. They do a much wider fit though and have a closed toe slingback which might work for you? Best of luck...

Someone else has the same idea!

I don't like them at all but new look appear to have them

Do they need the strap bit too?

When I went back to work after an op last year, I travelled in trainers and had a pair of leather ballet style slippers (John lewis) in the office to change in to. Were super comfy but unobtrusive.

Sorry, new look out of stock

Kitkat thanks but the straps on those would lie across the puffy bit of my ankle ouch.

I've seen www.marksandspencer.com/leather-block-toggle-high-mule-slippers/p/p22500372?image=SD_01_T02_0229_Y0_X_EC_90&color=BLACK&prevPage=srp

These. They might be too high, too narrow and my physio might tut at the lack of back strap but I'll try them on and see.

Thanks for those. I need to get into town to try on so I can wear them on Monday though. Is it ok to wear opawues with open toes?

I saw some in Matalan yesterday.

Thanks everyone. Off into town now. Fingers crossed.

You might be better with no straps at all, tbh, unless your infection only affected the front. I have a painful ankle from an old injury and can't tolerate slingbacks at all.
