Post ivf AWFUL skin - what should I be putting on it?!

Since stopping the treatment for our failed round of ivf at the end of Feb my skin is just terrible. I am covered in small bumpy spots but at the same time it's incredibly dry. Without make up people would be forgiven for thinking I have chicken pox.

I'm a bit stuck about what products I should be putting on it. I normally have pretty clear skin and just use whatever moisturiser is to hand.

Can anyone recommend anything? I'm wondering whether to go down the clearisil route?! It's really starting to get me down as am very conscious of it.

I really wouldn't use Clearasil or anything like that. Treat your skin gently using products for sensitive skin.

I'm sorry to hear your IVF failed and that your skin suffers too...
So: to treat yourself. Recently I saw a video by Lisa Eldridge I think, and I jotted down some good products she recommends for sensitive skin and dry skin:
Dr hauschka rose day cream
La Roche posay cicaplast Beaume B5 balm to reduce irritation
La Roche posay lipacar intense body lotion
Avene skin recovery cream to calm irritated sensitive skin

Alpha H is brilliant - it cleared up my acne. They do a starter kit on Cult Beauty that is tailored for clearing skin. Avene is also quite calming.

I agree with PP that the French pharmacy brands might be your best bet if you want to try some products first without going to a dermatologist. Avene and La Roche Posay have worked for me. They are gently but have effective ingredients and are not too expensive. You can get them in Boots.

I bought some Avene for my niece. She was really struggling with her young skin. It sorted it out beautifully.

Sorry that your cycle failed, I remember that feeling well.
After my first cycle failed, my skin went nuts aswell and I also felt quite sick as I withdrew from the medication. I drank plenty of water to flush it out, didn't really wear make up for a week or so (as I didn't leave the house anyway as too upset!) and I used Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser.
