Clothes and shoes in animal print - What do you think?

Just wondering what you make of animal print clothing and shoes?

I've a lovely zebra print velvet skirt from Boden which I am planning on resurrecting as soon as I slim down (againBlush).

I've also got a pair of leopard print trainers (loads of advice on what to buy and what not to wear from pp's on this board).

What items, if any, do you own? Is animal print always in? Or do you hate it with a passion?

No animal prints here but I do sometimes admire them on others.

Love it.

I have a leopard print skirt, cardi, ballet flats, scarf, two blouses, Superga trainers.....but would only wear one item at a time.

Particularly love leopard with a bright colour, like raspberry pink or electric blue (or black/tan, obviously).

I love animal print but I try to go high end, where possible. I have a pair of Zebra print Gucci heels and a leopard YSL bag which I love.

Best worn with a relatively neutral outft.

Love it. As long as you keep everything else quite plain, i think i leopard print in particular looks fantastic.

The blogger Lucy Williams had some amazing zebra print backless loafers in a recent post that I am a little obsessed with! From Mango too I think so not breaking the bank

Thanks for that silkpyjamasallday. I had a look at her blog. She's definitely in love with her zebra print at the moment!

Love a bit of animal print! Have lots of leopard though I do tend to wear in moderation (i.e. just with black or neutrals).

I love it in the form of accessories - leopard print shoes, trainers, scarf, bag, belt, bracelet. I don't wear them all at the same time obv Grin

Another animal print lover here. But accessories only. I have the LV leopard scarf, ballet flats & heels, belt and cuff.

I'm now getting into snake skin print and have added a belt and cuff to my collection.

I usually wear them with black. I don't own any animal print clothing though.

Love a bit of animal print. But usually in small doses - have ballet flats, a belt, some Superga trainers - and with an otherwise plain outfit.

Having said that I do own a gorgeous silk dress in a tiny blue and green leopard print, which sounds rather grim but is actually really lovely, and incredibly flattering. I love it but rarely have a chance to wear it!

DramaAlpaca · 25/03/2017 17:52

Not my thing.

Hate it, but knew a few Bet Lynch-alikes where I grew up, so that has made me think it looks tawdry.

Imamouseduh · 25/03/2017 21:16

Yep. Leopard is a neutral.

BadTasteFlump · 25/03/2017 22:17

I like animal print in very small doses - a bag or shoes, or scarf, no more than one item in an outfit. Any more than that just doesn`t work unless you are really young and can make it look quirky rather than Lily Savage-esque...

Tenpastlate · 25/03/2017 22:48

My alter ego would wear a leopard coat.
Real me draws the line at a cheetah print crossbody bag Grin
