I am a size 16/18 and carry a lot of weight on my stomach. I am a 38dd. I have arthritis and am peri menopausal. I find clothes shopping horrendous.
Anyway to the point. I have a function coming up in 7 weeks in a cathedral.
I need something dressy and comfortable that can hide my stomach and make me feel good. I have being searching online but nothing is catching my eye. I do not have much money and I am very pale.
Can anyone please help?

How tall are you? If you like trousers then something soft and structured with heels and a longish line drapey jacket would look ace. I'm the same size as you with a big tum and I can't work this look much as I'd like to - I think you need height to carry it off.
If you're short like me then I swear by those stretchy but drapey dresses that Phase Eight are really good at where the drape disguises your tum a bit. Otherwise I always fall back on slim trousers and a hip length top and cardie

Thanks Rockaby, love that first dress but cannot spend that much. Not when I have to accessorise etc. The 3rd link is not working for me.

Thanks Lady. I am 5'7. Have never really worn a dressy trouser.
Will google phase 8 now.
