How would you get this hairstyle?

I'm crap at styling my hair!!

How would I get this hairstyle, as in the waves??

I'm gradually getting better at using straighteners & a wand to give waves or curls but even if I brush them out a bit they never end up looking like this??

My hair is fine & naturally dries pretty straight so salt spray & that scrunching cream etc don't seem to make any difference.

Can someone better at this sort of thing advise me please

My hair sounds similar to yours, but is shorter than the picture. Mine will look like this if I put waves in using straighteners and it falls out over the course of the day.

My hair is like this. I wash and blow dry it then I curl with a big barrel wand,spray with hairspray, then leave for a few mins and pull the curls through with my fingers. It's lasts for about 3 days but I do have hair that does as its told!

Thanks both of you for replying, I'll be giving the big barrel a go, no way will mine last for 3 days, I'll be lucky if it's still like it after 3 hours!!
