Started biting my nails at 25

I usually have lovely long healthy nails and for some reason I've started biting them so far down that they're sore.

I work allot of hours and I am constantly exhausted. I have cut my hours down now and start my new hours this week so hopefully I'll feel better. I don't feel really stressed or anxious unless I've just gotten numb to it.

I've never bitten my nails until now and I can't seem to stop. How can I kick this terrible habit and do you think it's hidden stress that's causing it?

I used to bite and having gel nail polish on has stopped me biting.

Have a manicure, once you've paid £25 for shellac you won't want to ruin it.

Yes to gel polish. I too am a secret nail and skin biter. You would never know as I keep them painted & manicured so I don't ruin them. The minute I leave polish off I start biting again Sad
