Is his and her matching really a thing when attending weddings?

I've been to a few wedding with exh, never once did we consider complimenting our colours together.

My dp and his family all plan their suits / ties depending on what the partners are wearing.

Is this a thing?

I was just going to pick up a dress last minute but I've realised dp is waiting on finding out what I'm wearing so he knows what tie etc to get 😬

All seems a bit too much effort. My husband and I don't know what each other are wearing until we're dressed for the wedding, apart from a quick 'how posh will this wedding be- how posh do we need to dress up conversation, usually on the morning of the wedding!'

For the people who match, does your husband/ partner buy new shirts and ties for each wedding to match or do they already have loads? Admittedly my husband wears jeans and t shirts to work but he owns 4 ties.

We don't aim to match, but DH will try to avoid clashing colours so we don't look odd in photos together.

I think it's sweet your DP makes an effort to match properly.

I think it's lovely that the men in the family do this. It's thoughtful and shows they are engaged and interested in the celebration.
