Foundation for dry skin

Currently using bourjois healthy mix serum but it's not enough coverage. tried mac but I can never get on with it. any suggestions preferably a dewy look not mat.

Well, I have Mac Studio Sculpt and love it. I apply it with a beauty blender sponge, it lasts, and my skin is very dry.

Hi redI love Dior star foundation that gives good coverage but isn't too heavy. I have tried pretty much every foundation going but always go back to that. It depends on your budget really

That's interesting, Scoose, I had that Dior one, but it just doesn't last on me.

Did you use a good primer oldlibrary ? I find that makes a lot of difference

No, actually, though I've now got the dermalogica hydrablur one, which I love.

Will maybe try it again with that, I like the finish of it when just applied, very fresh. And I'm an old bird 😀

I'm currently loving No.7 Lift and Luminate. I'm a foundation JUNKIE with a love of natural looking skin. Loving it for a bit of glow. Had compliments on my "skin" from colleagues. I heard on here it was a complete dupe for a chanel foundation.

I'm using bodyshop at the moment and liking it - coverage is pretty good. I couldn't get on with Dior unless I used an oil based moisturiser.

Rev long colorstay is great. There are options for dry and oily skin. It can get pretty gloomy so use a light hand with it.

Don't have a budget foundation is something that if I fall in love with it it's worth it. although I do have the boujouris one and was use that for work along with my mac. Makes it cheaper on the purse

I'm loving the Too Faced Born This Way foundation, oil-free but super moisturising, use a makeup sponge to apply :)

I mix my good coverage foundation with a bit of tinted moisturiser. On its own it would be too dry. Work well together and easy to apply.

Second the body shop one for dry skin. I really like it. Light coverage and my skin doesn't feel dry later at all. I do use the embryolisse serum under it though so not sure if that makes a difference

Another vote for No7 Lift & Luminate. I have over a dozen foundations and this is the once I have been reaching for every day now for weeks. I have normal to dry, mature skin. It lasts all day with a primer and really makes my skin look great.

I've got really dry skin, it flakes off in chunks. I used to use no7 stay perfect as I find the lightest shade is perfect for me but found the coverage terrible. As soon as I hit 30 I had terrible redness on my checks and was using more and more concealer but I'm finding Revlon colourstay in dry skin great coverage and it feels lovely on and it's cheap as chips.

For daytime use I use no7 Matte mouse as it's in a jar and I can apply it really quickly. I find it fine with a primer or a surum under. I also find it a really good coverage and with both these foundations I don't use concealer at all but neither are heavy on the skin.
