Radley Northcote burgundy

I have ordered the Radley Northcote in Burgundy and it came today.. I like it a lot , but am still umming and aaahing over practicalities .... What do you think?

I do want something practical and stylish, but what do you think of backpack handbags generally? Are they a bit of an invitation for thieves?

I love backpacks but I also worry about that. I guess that answer is to aware in public places and on crowded trains if you have to stand, remove it from your back and hold it.
