I think your views on the cold shoulder look are pretty mixed!
I have seen this today and love the pattern. What are your views?

Yeah, of the shoulder is a completely different look to cold shoulder. Cold shoulder is just tacky and cheap.

NomDePlumeReloaded · 18/03/2017 14:39

Tacky

TSSDNCOP · 19/03/2017 15:46

It's just been done to death now hasn't it? Every angle top. Picked up yesterday had the shoulders out.

Twiterati · 20/03/2017 08:21

Cold shoulder cheap and nasty
Off the shoulder a la Brigitte Bardot entirely different and flattering.

HoneyDragon · 20/03/2017 08:25

I suit a cold shoulder too but can't wear them because they make me feel ridiculous.

I do like Bardot tops and they will be all over this year. Sadly, probably with thick bra straps showing as people buy one then realise the only work if you've pneumatic tits.

FortyFacedFuckers · 20/03/2017 08:49

I really like the river island top OP

fauxhito · 20/03/2017 08:50

I hated cold shoulder until recently for all of the above reasons .... then a friend wore a gorgeous cold shoulder dress and looked amazing and I've coveted one since then

thenightsky · 20/03/2017 08:55

I love cold shoulder tops as I have very slim, almost boney shoulders, but horrible floppy bingo wings that need covering up.

TheFlyingFauxPas · 20/03/2017 08:56

I bought a cold shoulder frock from Asda and sewed the holes up. Looks lovely now☺ Also took a couple of inches off length. Felt like I'd practically made it in the end.

carrie74 · 20/03/2017 10:37

Not a fan of cold shoulder tops, I've yet to see one that doesn't look cheap and polyester-y. Sorry.

Off the shoulder, I'm a bit meh about. I think they look lovely on slim young beautiful women, but the fact that you'd always be fiddling with them when wearing puts me off them - I remember having a Bardot top in my teens (last time they were in Grin), and it was always popping up and looking all wrong.

NomDePlumeReloaded · 21/03/2017 07:47

I hate off the shoulder too. That's just because I need a bra, so they never look nice. Every strapless bra I've ever tried has been utterly crap, so not the solution for strapless or off the shoulder, as far as I'm concerned.

Hairq · 21/03/2017 09:58

Not keen. Awful on me as I have big boobs and shoulders and just a bit tacky on the very slender

Ohyesiam · 21/03/2017 10:17

Shoulders don't age, so they are VERY popular with me.

CaroleService · 21/03/2017 11:49

Cold shoulder will have a very short shelf life - will be totally dated by winter. Off the shoulder and Bardot wearable forever, even if only on holiday.

Floisme · 21/03/2017 12:20

It should be ideal for me because, like other posters have said, my shoulders are the best part of my arms. And at least it's something a little bit new, unlike most fashion at the moment. But however hard I try, I can't like it.

I guess it may grow on me but it'll probably be starting to look dated by then.
