Getting my new hair colour today..scared!

Well today I finally wave goodbye to 25+years of various shades of box-red hair colour/bright pink/red crazy colours, and go for a complete change.

I'm having balayage highlights done and hoping for a sort of caramel colour result, however I think covering my red successfully is going to be a real challenge, and although I have been recommended this particular colourist, I have never used him myself so it's a bit of a leap of faith.

Wish me luck. My appointment is at 11, and I am booked in till 4! I'll post a pic later if I'm not sobbing into a bottle of Pinot!

I really like it, 6 hours in the salon though and a lot of £££ but the brassy red is gone!

It was this horrible brassy red before. Really pleased with my colourist as another one told me red was impossible to cover, it was going to take months blah blah

Thanks! It looked dreadful about halfway through the process..really straw like and yellow..I had the fear!

But with toner and a hair mask it's come up ok. I'm resolved to start looking after my hair a bit more from now on as I have neglected it horribly!
