Lash extensions or lash lifting?

On the run up to my wedding I would like to have my lashes done. It's not something I would be following up or having again but just want to pamper and preen a bit for the big day. I'm not sure whether to go for a lash lift (perm) or extensions. The lady who would be doing them knows her stuff, has been doing it for years and doesn't use any products that irritate the eye. I've done my homework, she won't blind me. So has anyone had either of these things done? What would be better for a one off?

I've had LVL lash lift and was quite impressed at result.
I'd worry about extensions coming "adrift" on the day

I would have a couple of goes before you have them done for your big day. I have eyelash flares which I like but you do have to get used to not rubbing your eyes and also it is tricky to apply make up around them. They also vary depending on who applies them. Sometimes they are quite natural but I had them done once by a young girl and they were ridiculously glamorous, only suitable for a night out and I felt self-conscious. So try them and see what you think.

I have eyelash extensions and absolutely love them! They don't cause any trouble with make up for me. They are a bit habit forming though, you may be like me and have them "once" and then end up having them for four years!

What are your natural lashes like nice? If they are fairly long anyway I'd definitely go for LVL. My lashes are blonde, short and very sparse so LVL was very disappointing for me. But worked great for my friend. So it depends on what the therapist has to work with.
With extensions there are different types. Which ones does your therapist do? I'd advise a trial run to see how you find them. Well worth the cost to be sure you like them and you get the results you want.

I have had neither but am tempted by both.

I am slightly put off by extensions as on some people they look ridiculous and fat too long. Also my friend had them - they looked great but made her own lashes fall out.

I don't know anyone that's had LVL.

I have fairly long lashes but they are straight and conventional lash curlers don't really seem to make much difference. I like the false lash look but can never apply them properly! I'm just not sure if they would get annoying having extensions. I rub my eyes a lot cos I'm constantly tired lol. Don't want them all falling out before the day.

Lvl curls from the root, then they tint them

I had extensions and loved them for my wedding but I'm good at not rubbing.

If you have flares they do come out in a little clump so can look gappy. I have occasionally had to get a few replaced within a day or two.

I have lash extensions and love them. They've just survived a week abroad where I was battered by wind and chucked into a swimming pool numerous times, so I'm sure they'd survive your wedding day (and your honeymoon as well!)

I have had both but had lash extensions for my wedding and prefer this (but very natural). It made me feel like I was wearing really good mascara and I loved how it looked on my honeymoon as I went somewhere hot and it looked like I was wearing makeup without the need to wear it. I was convinced to try lash lifting but barely noticed the difference and it fell out the after a few days. I am very fair though with quite thin lashes.
