Good inexpensive makeup remover?

Can anyone recommend a good inexpensive makeup remover, particulalry for removing mascara and eyeliner? I have used clinique take the day off in the past but it's just too expensive at the moment!

I've used Take the Day Off for a long time but recently bought the Simple Dual-Phase eye make up remover and am liking it very much. Certainly gives TTDO a run for its money, and at a fraction of the price.

I've always used simple. It does the job.

I haven't tried the Simple Dual-Phase one, but I've often used the ordinary Simple one. Recently it just doesn't seem to be working, so I'm following this with interest.
Tried Waitrose own brand and wasn't impressed but my daughter liked it.
So that's two non-recommendations. Not much help, am I?

Garnier micellar water is amazing, it's walkways on offer for £3 or something in boots too.

Another vote for micellar water. I wear a lot of eye make up and it takes it off easily.

Used to be a fan of the Clinique but just started using a Nivea one and it's !

Just a heads up for any Simple skincare lovers that Boots have got their range on offer at the moment. The 400ml micellar water is £2.99 instead of £5 and is the best one I've tried IMO. Also the dual-phase eye make up remover is £2 -something in Superdrug (or it was on Saturday).

I'm not a fan of the Garnier Micellar. It's good for foundation and blusher but terrible on eye makeup. Just bought this but not tried it yet. I use their facial oil though and that's brilliant, so I'm hoping this will be good.

I use simple make up wipes and I always use eyeliner and mascara.takes it right off.

I didn't like the garnier micellar water either. It just didn't work.

I am loving the micellar water - you need to be very liberal with it i.e. soak the cotton pad but it takes everything off and lasts ages. £3 for a giant bottle.

Superdrug vitamin E cleansing stuff. It's a shake it up one and I like it almost as much as the Lancôme one.

Una Brennan superfacialist oil based cleanser is awesome and smells lurvely

I use either Ponds Cold Cream or Johnsons Baby Lotion. It gets rid of Benefit "they're real" eyeliner / mascara too which is difficult. You do need to use a toner afterwards (I usually use Witch Hazel or the own-brand one from Superdrug) but it really does get rid of everything.

I've switched to the cold cream permanently now I'm a little older but it's fab. Just splotch it on & massage lightly with your fingers then wipe off with cotton wool. Amazing. The Boots / Superdrug own brand cold cream and baby lotions are just as good as the branded ones too.

Simple for me following a shower, it removes the leftover stuff.

For stubborn eye make-up: baby oil or coconut oil (for rest of face too). I am a big fan of Superdrug Vitamin E and Naturally Radiant ranges too.

Another vote for garnier micellar water, takes everything off inc long wear budge proof mascara and liquid eyeliner and it lasts ages. Nice and cheap too can't ask for more than that!
