Peeps with Bladed Brows - Is this normal?

ok so had them done 2 weeks ago. Was told not to touch them or get them wet, or use anything on them. Told they will scab over or flake and I need to go back in 3-4 weeks to have them "topped up".

So 2 week in and I havent touched them at first they looked great now the skin on top in particular is dry and flaky so Ive put some very light moisteriser around the area. Some "bits" have dropped off probably when Ive rubbed them during the night on the pillow etc so Ive had to fill in the gaps with a brow pencil.

Is this normal

Also Ive not touched them at all but the build up of colour that she rubbed into my brows and the bits that have dropped off just looks a complete mess. When I look close up I can see a soft line so Im guessing when I go back they get re-injected.

If I remember correctly, this i normal. I accidentally knocked one of the scabs off mine, and it pulled the colour away and looked like there was nothing underneath it. But when I got them topped up 4 weeks later it was fine afterwards.

It's normal. They will look messy, dry and scabby. This will all drop off (don't pick) and you will be left with natural brows. Your next appointment is for the therapist to check how they've turned out, touch up any uneven areas and to make any necessary changes to the colour, generally they are done slightly lighter so that they can be darkened if needs be. This treatment isn't as deep as normally tattooing but it follows the same process - tattooing then scabby then healed. If you have any concerns they therapist should be more than happy to help.

Yes KookKoala07 they do look messy, crusty and dry I was told not to touch them so I havent. Ive had to keep filling hem in with a brow pencil and because I cant touch them the build up is awful. Some sites say after a week to put oil on them but I havent dare touch them. When the bits fell off what left is an almost totally faded non existant line. I just want to get some eye make up remover and wipe them clean!

Sorry to de-rail slightly but do you have any recommendations on who to visit? I'm looking to get my brows done but not too sure who to visit, plus the prices can vary massively so not too sure if I'd be getting ripped off or going to someone a bit 'dodgy'! I'm in the London area but prepared to travel for the right person.

Lonelynessie I know your in London, but I'm going to Simone Gilmartin in Glasgow for mine. Her reviews are excellent and I am really impressed with her work. Very long waiting list though - I booked in November and am getting them done in July!

I would probably avoid putting oil on, unless your therapist advised to do so. I only say that because if you go against her advice you don't have a comeback if you're not happy with the result. Persist for a bit longer and they will be lovely Smile

ok will do...only 2 weeks today and she said to leave up to 4 before going back but Im off to Spain for a weekend 2 April and want them to look fab for then at the moment they look well awful :(

That is not what I thought micro blading was Confused. Why does it have 'blading' in it if it's not using a razor blade to shape the brows?!

I used coconut oil on mine which really seemed to soothe them, but it stinks so it only really works as a nighttime remedy!

During the day I used Vaseline.

I dont think I'll use anything they seem soft enough.
Woke this morning and another bit was on my cheek!!! Ive had to fill in with a brow pencil looking very patched up today

I wouldn't be using a brow pencil while they're still healing!!

I left mine alone and didn't get wet till they had scabbed and the scabs came off by themselves. After the scabs come off they can look like they're really faded or all colour has gone but this is just the new layer of skin over the top. It normally comes back a bit, then you have your top up to fill in any gaps and darken them etc.

Once the scabs come off they can be fairly dry so a bit of unscented moisturiser or coco butter does the trick.
