Evening all,
I was reading one of these threads last night and forgot to add it to my watch list, now i can't find it.
I have decided to do the measuring and try it out.
34 under bust, 44 over... does that mean 34J??
Thankyou :)

Probably more like 34GG, as a starting point. Smile

GoofyIsACow · 19/02/2017 20:47

Great, thanks treacle, I will go and have a try on tomorrow. :)

Unless you're not in the UK? We have DD, DD, GG and HH sizes so you need to factor those in when you're counting.

But I understand that in other countries they don't have the double letters in which case J would be right.

treaclesoda · 19/02/2017 20:48

Sorry, that was meant to say DD, FF, GG etc

Jamhandprints · 19/02/2017 20:50

I tried the new way of measuring but it just doesnt work for me. The band won't do up and the cups are flappy. What am I doing wrong!?

treaclesoda · 19/02/2017 20:53

If you put the bra on back to front does it still not do up?

ggirl · 19/02/2017 20:55

ooh can I quickly ask the experts something

if my bra wire fits flat against my chest but boobs are spilling out sort of under my armpits ..does that mean the cup size is too small?

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/02/2017 20:56

And crucially, what bra are you trying? Just like with other clothes there is still a fair amount of variance between different manufacturers

Thirtyrock39 · 19/02/2017 20:57

What about if bra rides up at the front so you end up with permanent under boob? I'm 34b according to m and s but am 30/31 under boobs and 33 across boobs

GoofyIsACow · 19/02/2017 21:01

No treacle I am in the UK, the double letters were what was confusing me, I wondered if they were half cup sizes or full ones.
I really love Primark bras, they do a really good strapless moulded cup one so I am going to go and try that in the new size and see how i get on.

ggirl- could be the style, if you firmly scoop and swoop everything in, are the centre wires still flat?

hollinhurst84 · 19/02/2017 21:06

Thirty - band too big more than likely, try a 32C and 30D. They're the same volume as your 34B then you can see how the cups feel and if you need to go up a cup size
Your measurements say a 30C ish but that would be a smaller cup than you are wearing

ggirl · 19/02/2017 21:25

hollinhurst84-yes have scooped them in and wires are firmly on my chest ..maybe my boobs are a funny shape or it's fat

Thirtyrock39 · 19/02/2017 21:28

Amazing thanks hollinhurst

hollinhurst84 · 19/02/2017 21:29

ggirl you could try up a cup size or look for bras that say side support or side sling as they gather everything in from the sides

ggirl · 19/02/2017 21:40

ok I'll do a search thanks hollinhurst84
