Hat/headwear advice wanted

It's still pretty cold and windy where I live and when I wrap up warm to go outside my face is still freezing.

Unfortunately:

  • a balaclava would make me look like I was off to a rob a bank
  • this kind of headwear looks more suited for an Antartic trek (or at least a skiing/walking holiday in a snowy, rural setting):
www.amazon.co.uk/Quality-Waterproof-Trapper-Available-Colours-x/dp/B009L51QMQ/ref=s9_simh_gw_g193_i4_r?_encoding=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_r=Q1NGRKP0NR6HWZTVS392&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=cdb42b11-1ad3-4a1f-8333-e9ef614c88d1&pf_rd_i=desktop&tag=mumsnetforum-21
  • these types of hats look more aimed at younger people:

www.amazon.co.uk/Martildo-Knitted-Fair-Isle-Flaps/dp/B019A4RWEI/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1487522033&sr=8-19&keywords=hat+with+flaps&tag=mumsnetforum-21

What can I - as a 40-year-old woman mainly walking around cities/towns - wear that will keep my face warm without looking out of place?
