Foundation on a budget?

I've been using Maybelline mousse stuff. It's finally run out.
I've got about a tenner to spend on a new one ( pref from superdrug).
Any recommendations please?..
My skin is slightly dry ( flaky at the nose)
A little sensitive
I'm (dyed) blonde with mousey eyebrows and blue/grey/greeny eyes.
I have a few thread veins that I need covering. .. but I like my freckles so don't want too much coverage.

I'd love the dewy flawless look that I seem to see on others but I'm guessing it's costing them mega bucks!

Saving up isn't an option.. if I don't the buy it today I'll have to spend the money on the kids half term crap 😂

Please help?

I'm also buying a hot cloth cleanser. The superdrug vit e one.

I like the rimmel vitamin c one and about a week ago it was 2 for £10 on rimmel at Superdrug

GwenCooper81 · 19/02/2017 10:15

Thanks user. What's the coverage like? Which one is it?

The coverage is good, it's called wake me up anti fatigue foundation. One the package it says it's skin brightening.. I was sold on anti fatigue after a night shift (it meant only my skin sadly)

user1467976192 · 19/02/2017 10:17

It should be easy to find it has a bright orange top

GwenCooper81 · 19/02/2017 10:31

Lovely! Anti-fatigue sounds good!

I am using Rimmel match perfection at the moment and I really like it. Good coverage without being too heavy.

Maudlinmaud · 19/02/2017 10:38

L'oreal Lumi Magique foundation is a dupe for Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundation and a good one at that.

Juicyfrooty · 19/02/2017 10:38

Loreal lumi is apparently a very good dupe for armani luminous silk. Nice and glowy.

suze28 · 19/02/2017 10:39

Look at L'Oréal true match aswell. It's lovely coverage without being too heavy and goes on beautifully.

aintnobodygottimefodat · 19/02/2017 10:44

I second the Rimmel anti fatigue, great coverage. Comparative to the more expensive brands imo.

nicebiscuit25 · 19/02/2017 10:50

Love this one

Thanks all. I'll have a look in a bit when I go.
Best way to find the correct colour?

I've got loreal true match as well. I like it but did need a primer to get the dewy look and not a bobbly look!

user1467976192 · 19/02/2017 11:40

The way you are meant to do it is pick the colour you think you are, then pick the next shade up and down and test them on your jawbone, this takes into acccount your neck which is paler.

However if you are like me and think that might look a bit weird just use the back of your hand

Cakescakescakes · 19/02/2017 14:28

L'Oréal infallible is also good and has a good wear time. Would say medium coverage.

mowglik · 19/02/2017 14:33

I was going to say Rimmel anti fatigue or bourjois healthy mix foundation - both are excellent, go for the one with the best shade match. Unfortunately neither of these have a good tonal match for me otherwise these would be my staples

Mammabear31 · 19/02/2017 14:37

Primark foundation!! It's only £2.50 a tube and it's amazing. A tiny bit goes a long way and it lasts all day when using a primer and fixing spray - you can get both of those, plus the foundation for under £10. I was seriously doubtful but I have to admit, it's trumped my usual daily foundation (Estee Lauder DW light)

GwenCooper81 · 19/02/2017 14:46

Thank you all. I've got l'oreal perfect match in ivory.
I looked for the rimmel one but I could spot the orange lid!
It was 3 for 2 so treated myself to a new primer and the matching powder compact. All good 😁

Gutted I never went to Primark MammaBear!
I bought DD some cheapy perfume from there before Xmas and it smells so nice it lasts well too.

I know I'm too late here but I've just discovered gosh cosmetics from Superdrug. Their foundation is great too.

GwenCooper81 · 20/02/2017 10:41

I like MUA too Real from superdrug. I'll look into Gosh.

I love borjouis health mix serum. It's only a light coverage, but smells lovely and lasts all day.

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 20/02/2017 12:34

I really rate Bourjois 123 foundation but the colour selection is appalling. Also I have a feeling it might have been discontinued as the last time I went shopping for it I couldn't get it anywhere.

PatMullins · 20/02/2017 12:35

Gosh is brilliant Smile I use the foundation drops.

retainertrainer · 20/02/2017 15:43

I was just about to warn you about L'Oréal true match,it doesn't suit my dry skin at all-goes very chalky, they finish is too matt.

If you have the same problem I can really recommend bourjois healthy mix. Mix in half a pump of the L'Oréal and you don't then need to powder. I didn't want to waste the one I'd bought so this worked well.
