What shoes with khaki skinnies?

Bought some super skinny khaki jeans, they are slightly cropped (9/10 style).
Haven't a clue what shoes to wear with them? Any ideas, anyone?

Trainers like Adidas John Smith?
Or pumps like those leather ones in other stories with the zip?

In summer, they go with either black or tan sandles imo

Thanks all. I actually wore them last night for the first time with taupe suede ankle boots. Looked fine but I'm wanting more of a shoe as we go into Spring. Brogues sound good- not sure black goes though.
