phase eight.
For a wedding guest, and maybe could work to a posh restaurant? I need to get the wear out of it to make it worth it!

I love ted baker stuff but I usually can't cram my boobs into their largest sizes unfortunately.

I love it too and I'm 40. It's elegant.

Borntoflyinfirst · 14/02/2017 07:25

I'm early 40's and I think it's lovely. I couldn't wear it because I don't have enough boob or small enough waist but I MUCH prefer it over the jigsaw one someone posted above. If it suits your shape I'd keep it. Classically stylish and very classy.

TSSDNCOP · 14/02/2017 07:31

I find anything in P8 adds 10 years to me. In Ted that dress would have a block colour too, short sleeve and a belt and look like it meant business.

BusterGonad · 14/02/2017 07:35

Op I'm a 14 with big boobs, Ted Baker do loads of dresses with stretch. In fact sometimes I'm a size 3 in there. If I were you I'd take another look!

oleoleoleole · 14/02/2017 07:41

I think it's lovely, classy and if you like it, keep it. Can you do kitten heels or a low wedge? You def need a small heel of some kind with it.

BusterGonad · 14/02/2017 12:00

Just to say, I do like the original dress, so please don't think that it isn't nice, it is lovely!

Epictantrum · 18/02/2017 17:05

I think you are right oleo it needs heels, the lower the better for me though. Would snakeskin look ridiculous? asos. Trying to defrump as much as poss.

Next? not heels though.

I like it but I'm not sure that I'd get enough wear out of it... but if you go to nice meals then I guess you would.

Not a great fashionista, but wouldn't say either of those shoes are good with the dress. Can you pick up one of the accent colours?

Gottabeaneasierway · 18/02/2017 18:01

It's lovely for a wedding. Not so sure for an average night out. I think it depends on your shape, look and how you style it. You could make it look more modern. The model looks stunning with the red hair.

Gottabeaneasierway · 18/02/2017 18:02

I've got a gorgeous Ted baker dress. It's a much more modern and fitted shape than the phase eight one but yes my boobs do hang out over the top of it.

BabyHamster · 18/02/2017 18:29

I'm 29 and I'd wear it to a wedding, I think it's very pretty. Not sure if it would suit an apple shape though, and think it needs heels?

BeaLola · 18/02/2017 18:50

I like the dress but I think it's one of those that you need to see on - it could look stunning or depending on shape / cut could lookokayish rather than stunning.

OP When is the wedding and events you are thinking of going to ? If they are a way off I would wait and see what else is coming into shops. I'm too large all over for Ted Baker so envious of some of the dresses on there.

Summer23 · 18/02/2017 19:32

Another vote here for Ted Baket dresses. If this one looks good on you op though and you feel good in it, how about red 👠 or metallic.
