Periorificial Dermatitis

Anyone has had this? I have a rash in the cheek and GP prescribed me with oral antibiotics. Apparently the actual cause is unknown but it's believed to be similar to acne.

It's driving me crazy. For the first time in my life, I'm ashamed of my skin.

I had perioral dermatitis. Not sure how similar but I made a toner out of green tea and apple cider vinegar and it's almost gone now. I applied it just to the area, several times a day.

It's horrible having stuff on your face, I sympathise. I had rosacea for years, and eventually learnt to just keep all chemicals away from my skin.

It's similar. Just the location that's different. Thank you, I should try that!

Yes it's horrible - I've always had good skin, rarely had breakouts and now this!

After months of taking the oral Doxycycline and it not doing anything, I finally got referred to a dermatologist who believe this is not periorificial dermatitis but psoriasis.
