Cleansing brush

I bought a cleansing brush last week, used it 3 times since. The head of the brush is very dense, velvet like, like one of those foundation brushes. I used it with some liquid cleanser at night, and used night moisturiser afterwards, but now my skin feels soo dry, and itchy now.
Should I stop using it and let my teenage son use it for his slightly oily skin? Am I using it incorrectly?

Well your skin doesn't sound very happy about it.

Caroline hirons did a blog post about using brushes on the skin like that, it was a no from her.

Get rid! If you want thread veins over your face in 6 months then keep it!
They are seriously harder.
