Green colour correcting make-up

I tried a free sample of a green colour correcting make-up and was pleased with the effect on my red patches, without caking my face in foundation. Any recommendations for particular brands?

I like no7 green primer

Clarabelle40 · 12/02/2017 13:15

The Urban Decay colour correctors are good. I haven't tried the green but the pink is excellent, so would imagine the formula is the same.

BeacauseImAnElf · 12/02/2017 13:28

I like the no7 one

Most of the high street Ines are too mint green to be effective.

You need one that the pro's use. It's almost shrek green, and works loads better. Kryolan is my fave

I was wondering if any of these creams would help my ds , who goes bright red at the slightest exertion, heat or embarrassment, which in turn embarrasses him.
What happens though, if you put it on and then the blushing or redness evaporates? Do you look green then?

slithytove · 12/02/2017 14:46

The primer makes my skin grey before bb cream. Don't think it would work as a stand alone

Guitargirl · 12/02/2017 14:51

The woman on the YSL counter showed me one the other day which looked good but I didn't get it as I don't really have a problem with redness (more dark circles under eyes which requires a different product apparently - found it all a bit bewildering to be honest Blush).

It was a pale green but I think it was more for red patches, like round the nose or something, rather than all over as it was a small tube. I think it was about 25 pounds so not cheap.

SavoyCabbage · 12/02/2017 14:51

I don't think it would work ZaZa.

BusterGonad · 12/02/2017 15:29

Clinique do a yellow stick and powder for redness.

BusterGonad · 12/02/2017 15:29

Or is it benefit! Confused

LollipopViolet · 12/02/2017 15:34

I just got a Max Factor crayon type thing - works well for me.

PidgeyfinderGeneral · 12/02/2017 15:40

Smashbox green primer is good.

PaperdollCartoon · 12/02/2017 15:41

I like the no.7 one too, but you do look a bit grey until the foundation goes on

ZaZathecat · 12/02/2017 16:34

Oh shame.

ggirl · 12/02/2017 16:57

makeupforever one is the dogs bollocks of red reducing primers, doesn't block pores , smooths out uneven pores and looks great even worn on its own

ggirl · 12/02/2017 16:59

I have started using la roche posay rosay serum and it has reduced my redness , I've been using daily for a few weeks and noticed quite a difference

Liiinoo · 12/02/2017 21:44

my DD bought me a green primer from Clinique for Christmas. It's very light but gives good coverage and it has an SPF. Would def recommend.

RusholmeRuffian · 13/02/2017 19:38

No.7 works for my tomato face

strugglingwithmaths · 13/02/2017 19:39

Smashbox is excellent.

ThatsNumberWanggg · 13/02/2017 20:05

I use Kalme Chameleon Concealer. Yellow based instead of green, it's great!

SweetChickadee · 13/02/2017 20:06

I use Clinique anti redness foundation and powder, very good.

disappointingly un-green tho Grin
