Thoughts on cowboy boots?

Does anyone have any?

I've on a whim ordered a pair from ASOS that were reduced from silly money just to see if I actually like them in real life, as I have seen ladies rocking the CB look with skirts/skinnies etc, however they may well just look twerpy on me.

God yes, I live in them - they are my go to ankle boot. Currently wearing gorgeous grey suede Office ones - think they're called Alfresco.
Which Asos ones have you gone for? Always on look out for more!

I have a pair of Ariat which are actual proper cowboy boots I bought when I lived in the US. They are utterly fabulous, total all day comfort and you will prise them from my cold dead toes. I wear them loads with skinnies and some dresses/skirts but you've got to be a bit careful to make sure you're not on your way to a line dance....

I bought a really good pair in 2003 at uni and they are still going strong. I wear them with black skinny jeans, cord A line skirts, denim pinafore and with a denim mini skirt and black tights usually with one of my original britpop band tshirts.

Which I think I like, although on the model they look like she is struggling to keep them on when walking and looks a bit silly IMHO.

I wouldn't be wearing them with bare legs though, so thinking over tights/leggings/skinnies etc they may be ok.

I've got a proper pair of Mexican cowboy boots, £45 from Camden Market. Nicely battered and worn in. My absolute fave footwear, I love them!

Lovely boots but they look bloody awful in the video (mainly because it looks like they got a very skinny child to wear them a few sizes too big for her, which is an odd choice - might be why they haven't sold though, so bonus for you!). I love boots but am on a spending ban - I would if I could though!

I have some ankle boot ones and I l love them, I also have some Manitobah Mukluks (hands down the comfiest shoes in the world ever). I do live in the US though

My calfs are slimmish so hoping they won't look like wellies, but they can always go back.

I've Googled and seen other pics of them being worn and they look better.

I really wasn't sure. I wore them round to a friends house today just to wear them in a bit, and I'm not sure she really liked them, but I think cowboy boots are a bit marmite. They are actually really well made and I reckon they'll last a good few years.
