So I've been aware of the CT range and had a look at the counter a few times but had dismissed it as over marketed hype. Kat on DMBL40 yesterday was raving about her products so I happened to be in Selfridges today and somehow found myself sat in one of the chairs.
Well blow me down, the Colour chameleon eye shadow pencil is miraculous!! I have green eyes and got the Bronze Garnet - I look freaking beautiful and I never say that. Bit much for the school run but hey ho!
Then the bloody Magic Cream - god it's £70 lord help me but nothing and I mean nothing has ever erased those pesky lines I get under the eye - one little dab of cream and my eyes are smooth - look like I got Botox. I just got a sample of the cream but I know what's going on my birthday wish list!
Kind of pissed off that the range is so good as can hear my credit card groaning! The girl also put a really nice lipstick on but I was so mesmerised by my eyes that I forget which one it was. Another day!

I have Bond Girl ( love), love cherry ( v bright but gorgeous) and love bite ( v v red) - ALL REALLY MOISTURISING. I agree the magic cream is a dream and the eyeshadows are brill. Also have hollywood honey lip liner which is nice, but the foundation is pure shite x

Liiinoo · 09/02/2017 22:52

I am green-eyed and bought the garnet chameleon pencil. It was beautiful but it dried out and became scratchy within weeks and I binned it. I also bought a mascara (can't remember the one, but it was touted as giving giraffe length lashes in seconds). Again, it dried out very quickly and had to be chucked.
Maybe a short shelf life is part of CTS marketing strategy? It could appeal to professional MUAs who will use up products v fast, but it's no good to me. I want some longevity if I buy high end products.

Holy moly Eatshit, that must be close to a grands worth right there - bows down.
Do not enable me!
I am now seriously lusting after a lip liner and lipstick - pillow talk potentially but not sure if it's deep enough for me. I'm NC30, brunette with caramel balayage and green eyes. Any Recs for best lip combo? My favourite lipstick is MAC Mehr for reference but I find it a bit drying.

If you like MAC mehr you might like secret salma lipstick.

I have 3 lip liners- bitten kiss, pillow talk and crazy in love.

I've just badly searched them on my arm for you in that order.

Bitten kiss is darker than pillow talk and the one I tend to gravitate to for every day wear.

Swatched not searched!

Sorry for the goosebumps- just been out in the garden!!! It's bloody freezing :-)

EatsShitAndLeaves · 10/02/2017 15:17

By total coincidence look what came in the post today for me Grin

phoenix, wasn't the Sali Hughes video awful?! Just one long promo, unlike the usual SH style. CT was manically demoing her stuff, taking everything back to her range, every time. Talking ten to the dozen. Whenever I see her on social media she reminds me of a coke head, manically crapping on about nothing at a million miles an hour.

Champers4Pampers · 10/02/2017 15:28

I was really tempted by the wonderglow but after the poor reviews on here I may give it a miss.
I bought the mascara, legendary lashes, & I just couldn't get on with it. Mascara tends to smudge on me and this stuff was awful.
Anyone tried the filmstar bronze & glow?
I'm a sucker for nice packaging but what's the point of the product is useless.

NomDePlumeReloaded · 10/02/2017 15:30

As for the products, I think it is a win for clever marketing and beautiful packaging.

The products I've tried are fine but I prefer other brands for same money - her chameleons, I prefer the By Terry Ombré Blackstars. The lip pencils are fine but lip pencils are ten a penny in truth. Matte lipstick? I prefer Dior. Eyeshadows - I prefer Dior/Chanel at the same price point.

EatsShitAndLeaves · 10/02/2017 16:21

Bronze and glow is lovely.

However I would agree overall with Nom that you can get the same quality from other brands.

I personally love the CT quad colours - but I wouldn't rate the quality any better than Channel/Dior or Tom Ford.

Overall I think her powder products do stand "up there" and I personally love the packaging.

My day to day makeup that I carry around in my bag is Bobbi Brown and tbh I don't really see much difference in quality.

I think CT eyeshadow is more pigmented than BB and I do love the chameleon eye pencils.

But my BB tubing mascara beats CT hands down as does the foundation and concealer.

I prefer CT blush and lipsticks also - but not enough to replace them in my BB day to day bag.

Guitargirl · 10/02/2017 17:08

I went to the Charlotte Tilbury shop in Covent Garden today and bought a pillow talk lipstick and a garnet chameleon eye pencil.

Am loving the lipstick - not tried the pencil yet. Am thinking about treating myself to the night cream once my current Clinique stuff runs out.

It's a nice wee shop (I may also have popped into Kikki K a few doors down).

Jmangel · 10/02/2017 17:45

There's a whole CT shop? Stop, stop now.
Thanks Eatshit for the swatches and Salma rec.
Love that the post is bringing even more lovely stuff to you. Enjoy.

Do they do the chameleon eye sticks for brown eyes?

Surreyblah · 10/02/2017 18:32

Tested on animals?

bigbuttons · 10/02/2017 20:21

chameleon pencils are nice, the rock n kohl eye liner is the worst eyeliner I have ever used; I should just have scribbled with it under my eyes to start off with.

AgathaMystery · 10/02/2017 22:04

Ah I love love love CT... the foundation is ace, the colour chameleons are TDF & the original mascara is awesome. I also love the eye shadows. I'm addicted.

FlindersKeepers · 11/02/2017 08:35

Bronze and Glow is nice, but the Becca highlight/lowlight powder palette is far better as the CT bronzer has shimmer. I do like the Chameleon sticks, Formentera beach stick is great on freckled skin (I'm light/medium, NARS Groenland), Walk of Shame is a good colour. Moon Beach is pretty good, in fact the glowing 5 minute look pack isn't bad value for money.

The foundations were terrible on my skin tone, I'm very neutral/beige and in my shade depth the colours were either very yellow or very pink. The Creme shadows don't last that long on me either. So yes, a mixed bag!
