Fringe and glasses. Do they mix?

I've got brown shoulder length hair, all one length. I wear glasses. Really heavy square hipstery style Ines. I'm 53, chubby and short. Not stylish. Quite frumpy really. I'm thinking about a heavy fringe. But can you have a fringe with glasses? Is it weird? Are fringes very high maintenance? I haven't had one since I was 10!

I have have a fringe and glasses. I've had a straight one now I'm growing it into a side fringe.
Pull some hair over your head to make a fringe and see?

My hair grows quickly so I was having it trimmed every 4 weeks btw

I wear glasses, and had a fringe up until about a year ago when I started to grow it out. Always had compliments so assume the glasses and the fringe combo worked fine Smile although my hair grows fast and having to get it trimmed every 2-3 weeks put me off keeping it!

I'm growing out a long heavy fringe, but had one until recently. I too wear big heavy-framed glasses, and have a round, podgy face. Like this. So it might help you judge.

I have a fringe and often wear glasses, I think it's nice! As others have said though, you do have to get a fringe trimmed every couple of weeks if it's a full fringe.

I think fringe plus glasses can look good. My problem is that if I have my hair anywhere near my glasses they get greasy and smudged very quickly - and I don't even have greasy hair!

I have recently (last 3 months) had a think fringe cut in, and wear glasses similar to the pp. Actually I think it looks really good, always getting compliments and am so much more pleased than when I didn't have one.
However, yes, it does need maintenance. I generally have to wash the fringe in the sink every morning (I think the hair gets the grease off my forehead throughout the day, hence I have to wash it) and blowdry to the right place. (as it ends up in some very funny angles otherwise). But It is well worth it as I am so pleased with the look.
My hairdresser will trim fringe (free) as much as i need in between haircuts, so i just tend to pop in every 2-3 weeks on way somewhere to get it done.

I think it depends. I can't do fringe and glasses as It accentuates my square face.

Try it. You can always grow it out.
