I don't think I like skinny jeans

I've been stalking the S&B boards recently. I've lost a lot of weight and am working out my new style. Have had some fab suggestions, and am making a start.

Gospel seems to be that skinny jeans are an absolute must.

I'm not sure. They don't seem flattering. I feel self conscious in them. They're not comfy. I like the look of boyfriend jeans, or maybe bootcut. We don't have many shops where I live so I can't go out and try on hundreds.

(Now I know that obvs if I don't want to wear them I don't have to)

But have I tried the wrong ones on? Should I persevere? I'm asking as a tentative trying-to-be-stylish newby.

They both look great. I thunk the darker wash is a bit more on-trend. But really both are flattering. You have a lovely figure and you can definitely pull off this look!

I have the Gap Girlfriend jeans in mid wash from last year's stock and absolutely lived in them. I can't wait for the ankle baring weather to begin

Yes, the darker, slightly cropped ones are girlfriend jeans.

Funnily enough I thought the True Straight ones looked better, but I got both so we'll see which ones end up being favourite.

@Humanfemale - yes, I think you might be right. I read your comment and then wandered into an Australian shop called Cotton On - some of their stuff was quite nice quality fabric, and they had loads of shorter, boxier tops and tshirts. I bought a pink one.

So, not a bad start.

I like skinny jeans but i never got the jeans tucked into boots look....i wear mine with a nice leather ankle boot with a heel as it makes my legs look longer and leaner....i think only size 8's can pull off the tucked in look.
