I'm coming out of 5 years of frumpsville and realise that there is something that I'm not grasping, and it's 'what length should trousers/jeans be?' I only wear loafers, trainers and occasionally flat ankle boots, and I wear mainly straight leg trousers or skinnies. The last time I cared about how I liked, trousers were meant to almost cover your shoe, but now they seem much shorter. I'm not high fashion by any means, but I DO want to at least nod to stylishness. I also have quite big feet (size 8), so they can look a bit boat-like. And I live in Cumbria, so swanning about without socks feels a scary proposition for 50 weeks of the year. Please advise!
