Shoe suggestions needed!
I'm hoping to visit Vegas again this year (May), anyone who's been knows how much walking is involved, so comfy shoes are a must.
Last year I bought some Teva sandals which I had been assured are the most comfy things ever.
Well, they cut my feet to ribbons and I ended up wearing trainers all the time. Trainers and my trusty Toms and Skechers Go Walks will be worn but I'd still love some sandals.
Do I have to go down the route of the 'elasticated beige walking sandal' or can someone suggest something slightly less hideous?
They must be flat, comfy and able to fit on my wide size sevens. I don't really care what they look like but pretty and/or funky would be a bonus.
Any suggestions? (I've been recommended Saltwater before but they look really hard to me, are they?)

Birkenstock are the only thing I can wear all day long especially the Sydney style.

I have several pairs of Birkis but I never take them to Vegas because I always think they're too hard. I'll have a look at theSydney ones though. Thanks.

Karrimor usually have active sandals in a range of colours. I find a lot of shoes bite my feet, but these were really comfy. All the straps on the ones I have are adjustable,so should be good for wide feet.

For some reason I keep shying away from the Velcro sandals because they're a bit 'naff', in my eyes. But tbh I think I'm being daft and I shall not investigate further.

I've survived the strip more than once in Birks ....madrids look hard but so comfy.

Maybe - depends on the style and the colour, and some don't look that different from Teva.

Maybe a fallback if you don't find any you prefer the look of that are comfy enough?

Had a look. Some of the Karrimor are quite nice aren't they? I also like the North Face Hedgehog. :)
TBH I know I won't care what they look like if they're comfy. That ship has sailed with me. I'm all about comfort these days. I was so disappointed last year when my lovely white Tevas cut my little toes to shreds & I ended up in trainers all week.

Salt waters are really comfy but not for all day on tarmac. They're comfy in the way barefoot is comfy, if that makes sense? My mum raves about her wolkys and fit flops. I'd take a selection though - variety is the best thing for feet on a trip with lots of walking!

Fitflops? I love mine in the summer - like walking on air. And you can get pretty ones.

I love my Birkies but if i want to walk for miles on hard pavements in the heat the only way my feet survive is light mesh trainers and trainer socks. I have Nike ones as do both my DD’s. We have all suffered with agony feet on holiday and are happy to sacrifice style for comfort.

I would also suggest some Velcro karrimor ones
They did me proud in a New York trip recently and I walked my little socks off!
They are a bit ugly but I figured no one knew me and I valued my feet more.

Mine were cheap from sports direct and they had loads of styles that I could try on

God, Fitflops X 100. They are amazing. They were the only thing I could wear trudging around in the summer heat, heavily pregnant. So bouncy. And I was not light on my feet!

Have a look on the website. There is a lot of variety. Some of them don't really look like fit flops at all.

Yes fitflops and clarks sandals are my summer choice as I can walk for hours in them.

Yes to Fitflops (although I sometime 'fall off' mine ) or Varcas. There are loads of this style around now but I've only tried this brand and they're really comfortable.

Have you tried Hush Puppies? I also have wide, size 7 feet and found flat sandals from there that are really comfortable and (I think) look nice too. I can walk for miles in them. I think I got them from Schuh.

Definitely Fitflops.

My chacos are the most comfortable things known to woman, but they're very supportive so do take a bit of getting used to.

Fitflops again. I wore mine non-stop for two weeks in South Africa and never a sore foot or blister.

I had some Toms leather sandals that I wore on holiday last summer and they were really comfy. I have wide feet also.

Another Fitflop fan here! I wear mine practically all the time in the summer. Brilliant for holidays when you're on your feet all day.

Fitflops here too. I have lots in different styles, but not the slides as I do just slide out of them. I can't wear Birkis, I find them really uncomfortable.
