Can any of you lovely lot able to recommend any gym-friendly clothing brands that go up to a size 18-20? And sports bras up to a G cup?

Have started going to a gym regularly & am also having Pilates lessons but my old baggy t-shirts and baggy paint splattered jogging bottoms ain't doing it for me. Frankly there's just too much swishy fabric.

Some super stretchy but supportive leggings would be amazing for Pilates but can't find any in my size Sad

Matalan - Soluxe range size XL fits me - brilliant long line hoodies

Ample bosom website - the most supportive bra I've found is the Elila jacquard bra which is £50 😮 (Although I've bought it for £65 inR&P)

TK Max often have good brands in- worth a look if you are near one. Otherwise Asda sportswear is good for the price.

Have a look at TU clothing in Sainsburys - most of the clothes, including gym stuff, go up to at least a 20. Excellent value or money.

H&M have lovely sportswear and I think it goes to 18. Panache non wired sports bra is my favourite and I'm a g cup.
Try Belle Lingerie for reduced sports bras.

knowler · 25/01/2017 10:17

Simply Be sells a lot of decent exercise stuff in larger sizes.

Geraldthegiraffe · 25/01/2017 10:18

Sainsburys.

CiderwithBuda · 25/01/2017 10:22

Sainsbury's, M&S, Asda

Deathraystare · 25/01/2017 10:24

M&S but I always find 18s and 20s are not on the rail so need to order in.

It amazes me why there are loads of size 6 and 8 in keep fit clothing but not the big sizes. How about encouraging us to exercise???!!!

Tartle · 25/01/2017 10:28

I definitely recommend the panache sports bras. I have the wired ones. The only thing I can find to keep my f cup norks from hitting me in the eye!

Gap active wear is pretty good and can be really good value in the sale. I can never quite work the sizes out but XL is an 18-20 I think.

State of Mind

I've had some stuff from these guys before - mainly sale stuff - but it seems to wash and wear very well.

MargotsDevil · 25/01/2017 16:31

Freya sports bra is absolutely fantastic. Agree with Asda and Sainsburys; also have a look in Decathlon and Sports Direct - I have stuff from all of these and I'm bigger than you!

UncomfortableBadger · 25/01/2017 16:56

Thanks so much chaps! All so helpful.

Had a gander on the TK Maxx website earlier and found some particularly obnoxious leggings that will be purrrrrfick.

Also spotted a sports bra that looks vaguely supportive for my excessive norkage so very excited about receiving my order in a few days! Grin

I am also G/H cup and I wear two bras. One underwired Freya and then a very elasticated racer back crop top. One bra does not do it, unfortunately.

Whatever leggings I get, I do the stretch test. Lean right over so the fabric stretches as far as it's likely to go eg lunges - is it a bit see through? No, good. Yes, not gymming in them!

Deathraystare · 26/01/2017 10:18

Thanks for the link Cloudcoos!

MiddleClassProblem · 26/01/2017 11:22

Omg I just came on to start a thread asking for plus size gym wear recommendations.

Tracks that cover you race and done ride down doing squats and tops that DK t show your belly when you raise your arms!

MiddleClassProblem · 26/01/2017 11:22

*don't

MiddleClassProblem · 26/01/2017 11:32

I have m&s but they are not generous in the derrière. A bigger size falls down rather than gives more coverage.

Lonsdale comes up in sports direct but come up small too

GinIsIn · 26/01/2017 11:36

Primark does a good range of sportswear in a 20.

The very best bra is the shock absorber one. You will need a go a size up in the band size though. I say this as a half marathon running G cup - it's the absolute best one!

Maverick66 · 26/01/2017 16:58

The original factory shop (TOFS) have some by Slazenger.
Also TU at Sainsburys.
